Brian the installer was professional, reliable and did a great job.

Purchased Berber carpet from Northern Flooring and had it installed by them within two weeks.  Rick and Steve, both highly experienced, did the installation and their work is exceptional and flawless as far as we can tell one day later.  They worked 9 hours non-stop and there was no issue they did not have a solution for.  They have every piece of carpet installation equipment imaginable, including the sewing machine that binds the border (on site) to the runner for the stairway.  No complaints whatsoever. 

Our main concern is the Berber carpet surviving our Golden Retriever.  Would definitely use them again!

After six months, excessive wear was evident on the stairs and wear started to show on the room carpet.  In addition, "raised thread lines" and "crease lines" started to develop in the carpet where there are no seams. After six months the new carpet looked worst then the 19 year old carpet it replaced.

After being notified, Northern stalled for over eleven weeks so far and responded only after multiple calls and emails.  Northern claims that they only warranted the labor, we were not told that and do not have documentation that indicates that.  Northern finally sent their "certified" carpet inspectors and they verified two types of issues.  One is the carpet has a "few" lower yarns missing, caused by the manufacturer, Masland.  The other is what the inspector describes as a discoloration on the stairs caused by faulty yarn from Stainmaster,   

Northern Flooring wants the yarn manufacturer, Stainmaster and the carpet manufacturer, Masland, to cover any corrective cost.  Northern cannot tell us the extent of any corrective measures but they do say that there will be a lot more work to do to correct the problem.  

The only thing we agree on is that the carpet is defective. 

We would not purchase anything again from Northern, Masland Carpeting or a carpet with Stainmaster Yarn and we certainly do not thrust Northern, Masland carpet or Stainmaster yarn to replace the bad carpet.  We feel that since we bought the carpet from Northern Flooring based on their recommendations, they are responsible and should refund the cost.  Northern's pledge of "satisfaction guaranteed" must mean their satisfaction, not their customers.

Very personable folks. One of the owners has the personality of a used car salesman. Very pleasant, problem telling the truth. Evident by receiving a different answer to the same question if asked again. The biggest problem I had was them referring bad workman for personal reasons.
Ended up with a tile problem created by a company they sub contracted out to. Blamed the problem on some work I had done totally unrelated to problem and refused to even come out to the house to look.

Excellent job and company.  I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them in the future.

They are very accommodating.  If you don’t like something, they will come and fix it for you. I have no complaints with them at all.  All the people who came here to work were pleasant and easy to work with.

I give them an A. They were generally on-time. The people are professional. They passed a lot of information about the product onto the consumer, as far as maintenance.
