We did have an architects drawings which made the whole process easier as all the materials and patterns of tile, etc, were already worked out. This made the budgeting of the project very straightforward for Lou to figure. We met before the actual project began to review the contract, the materials selected, and the proposed work schedule, he's very organized. We did get a building permit, which is a good idea to do. Once the work started, Lou arrived on time every day and if not he at least called to say he was not coming, a real courtesy. If a sub-contractor was to work, Lou met them and reviewed the work required before they started, a real advantage as minor changes or misunderstanding of the work could be resolved before it becomes a problem. Lou was very neat and cleaned the job site everyday, he was extremely good at keeping the path from the front door to the work site covered and protected, and made sure that all the workmen respected those boundaries, a real plus.
