Cabinets Plus

Highly Recommend! We have used Cabinets Plus for two of our homes. In total they have done 4 bathrooms, a kitchen and laundry area. Our repeat business is due to their quality of service and products, creative solutions and professionalism.

We've known of and used them for probably 30 years. Talk about a family-owned business that's run so well! Their work is unbelievable. I have given their names to family and friends and they always do a wonderful job, I have no reservations in recommending them.

They did spectacular job. At the onset of the project they gave me a schedule of who was coming to work on what day, and through the whole thing they kept to that schedule. They stand by their work 100% and have excellent decorating ideas! I would recommend them to anybody, it was worth the price!

It went great! On our first meeting with Linda, the designer, we brought a picture of our existing kitchen and started discussing needs, wants, and options. We knew we couldn't match our cabinets exactly, but Linda helped us find a cabinet style and color as well as hardware and light fixtures that would blend with what we have. Linda asked for an inventory of what we wanted to store in the island so the design would meet our needs. She also came to our house with samples of the cabinet and counter top to make sure everything looked the way we wanted and to finalize measurements. When we or she had questions or when issues arose, Linda responded promptly. She truly listened to us but wasn't shy about giving her opinion as well, making it a successful collaboration. We were a "fill-in" project, so we had to wait for an opening in their schedule, but it was well worth the wait. The guys who installed the project were punctual, careful, tidy, and courteous. When the project was finished, Linda came back for a final inspection to make sure we were satisfied. We are. Very.

Cabinets Plus remodeled our hallway bathroom about 3 years ago and we didn't consider anyone else. Melissa was very helpful and patient as we went through the design and selection of products. She made many useful recommendations. The construction crew was highly qualified and friendly. They were very careful and cleaned up at the end of every day. Kent worked closely with us and held to a tight schedule with no delays in between. We couldn't have hired a better contractor.

The team at Cabinetsplus did an excellent job from start to finish. Started with Steve who gave us an estimate on cost and preliminary idea on plan. Next Linda worked with us on the final design of bath project. If the cost are within your budget then make sure you talk to designer, Linda had great ideas and was easy to work with! With final plans worked out, we worked with Kent and Steve and came up with detailed schedule. The crew was excellent and kept to the schedule. The workmanship was also great, no complaints. Its a no fuss project from start to finish just what the wife and I wanted - no headaches, easy peasy :) We also used them on a freshening up project in our kitchen which also was excellent. As far as cost they were a little higher then others (lower then one) but well worth it!

I could not have been more pleased with this company. I had used them seventeen years ago for a bathroom remodel, on a friends high recommendation, and was equally pleased for this job. The results are beautiful and the experience of working with them makes the whole process stress free. They provide a complete schedule of when the work is being done, daily, who to expect each day and the costs. It was one stop shopping for all my needs with good quality products to choose from. No running from place to place to pick out things.

Replaced stock shower stall with enlarged and enhanced shower. Shower work included removal of soffits above and on the sides. Also, create a rectangular opening in the back for shower supplies. Three sizes of stone tile were utilized as the shower was now completely custom. Added bench and ADA approved handrail. All went according to the plan that was presented and I couldn't be happier. Had shower done because they did such a kockout job on my kitchen. Have included one before and some after photos.

Over the last 10 years we have used Cabinets Plus three times on three different bathroom remodels. Each time Steve, Dave, and the designers were a pleasure to work with. I was allowed to take samples home to "live" with them a few days to ensure I was happy with our decisions. Dave's scheduling was very tight to reduce inconvenience to our family. All workers were punctual, courteous, and the job site kept clean daily, We would definitely use them again.

We interviewed other contractors prior to hiring Cabinets Plus. We chose them because of their honest representation of selecting construction materials, realistic completion schedule and their construction crew who stood behind their work beyond completion of the project.

Cabinets Plus is extremely professional and provides you with assistance in designing the rooms, selecting materials and have their own staff to do work. They presented me with a schedule outlining the work to be done each day until completion and in turn they kept the projects on time. Also when I recently had a problem with one of the new toilets they wasted no time in sending someone over to fix the problem. All work is guaranteed. I would definitely hire Cabinets Plus again.

1. Professional design was complete and included some features I would have never thought of that I really appreciated. 2. Complete schedule was presented and followed with one exception. There was a two day delay caused because the cutting of tile could not be accomplished in sub zero weather on my condo balcony. 3. All of the trades people were very professional, the work performed excellent, and they cleaned the job site at the end of each day. 4. All debris was removed from the premises as per the rules of my Condo Association. 5. The best part of all, from start to finish I had no hand in the project, other then admiring the progress.

We have been using Cabinets Plus for over 12 years due to quality of work, commitment to customer service and ease of projects. In total, they have remodeled 4 bathrooms and one kitchen for our homes, several of which were jobs that required going down to the 2 X 4s, removing walls, moving lights and plumbing.
One of the reasons we like Cabinets Plus is their project model.  They primarily hire versus subcontract, so schedules are well planned out and work is completed more quickly than when waiting for availability of subcontractors.  Moreso, the quality of work is excellent due to the team being employed directly by Cabinets Plus and needing to meet their high standards.  The team is very professional and treats your home as though their own. 
Their sales model is also excellent, they have a full show room with many selections.  They are able to offer a variety of price options; however, quality over price is their priority. Their sales team is strong in design, helping you to explore options you may not have thought of on your own.  

Our remodel couldn't have gone better, from our first meeting with Melissa, our wonderful designer to Kent, who coordinated the entire job and Kevin and Rusty who transformed our dated kitchen into a room we love.We couldn't ask for a NICER group of people to do business with and would definitely use them again.

From walking into the showroom until bathroom was completed, everything was handled well and professionally. Melissa, who was our designer was open and responsive to what we wanted and staying within our budget. She was great at giving us ideas and options that we may have not even considered. The workmen Tim and Chris did the bulk of the work. They were great! Friendly, professional, and were always punctual and thorough in their work. If any problems arose we were always consulted. Casey who did the tile work was equally thorough, punctual and consulted us if there was any questions.
We were given an approximate date of start which was right on the money as was the time work should be completed.
About a month after completion, we discovered a crack in a tile. We spoke to Kent and it was dealt with in a very timely matter.
While we did go over our budget slightly ( our doing from choosing certain material), the finished bathroom exceeded what we envisioned. We were given a digital mock up of the bathroom after Melissa designed the job, and we were able to revise or make changes easily.
This is the second time using Cabinets Plus( they assisted in our kitchen remodel) and came away happy both times.
We would highly recommend Cabinets Plus to anyone.

They were very professional and courteous from start to finish with our job.  They were willing to work with us on the timing and had good ideas for securing the island with the installation.  They were prompt and always left everything completely cleaned up.  Great company and I would recommend them to anyone.

We used Cabinets Plus to design and install a new master bathroom in our 20 year-old house.  The Kunzweiler brothers were a
pleasure to work with (Dave for the design, Kent for the installation).  They came up with a great design - Asian theme (per our request) with custom cabinets, mirror and tub face all designed with beautiful fretwork.  The cabinetry and woodwork was top notch.  The fantastic tile selection for the shower and floor (heated), and bamboo-themed satin nickel faucets really pulled it all together.  The Cambria Quartz vanity and tub tops were the icing on the cake.  The Cabinets Plus installation crew (led by Ron) was very friendly and professional, always on schedule, and very attentive to taking care of our house and keeping the job site as clean as possible.  In fact, we trusted them so much they had full house access and completed most of the project while we were in Singapore!
Having had such a great experience with Cabinets Plus on our master bathroom, we just had them design and install a new kitchen.  We wanted open cabinets across the top near the ceiling to display our mask collection from our travels around the globe.  Dave pulled together another beautiful design, including hidden LED light strips in the open cabinets and three upper
cabinets with glass doors.  The backsplash around the kitchen is antiqued mirror, with the electrical outlets and phone jack hidden under the upper cabinets.  A special tile (floral pattern) from Artistic Tile (Chicago Merchandise Mart) was used for the cooktop backsplash.  The dishwasher and refrigerator were paneled to match the white cabinets, and Dave found a Blanco Silgranite sink in white that blends beautifully into the design.  We had the same installation crew that did our master bathroom, and once again the craftsmanship was superb, and the project was completed on schedule.  The kitchen is stunning, especially at dusk with the masks illuminated and the island crystal chandelier lit.  We are very happy with the results, and wouldn't change a thing.

We have been really pleased with our association with Cabinets Plus in Palatine, IL.  We contacted them from a friend's recommendation.  They have a great showroom; we selected almost everything in our new kitchen from the showroom. 
Melissa, our designer, was wonderful.  She is friendly, lay-back, helps you ferret-out exactly what you like, and gives you ideas about what might 'look good together'.  She met us at the vendor's shop to help us select our granite countertop, and it was a fun experience from start to finish, sketching, planning, blue-skying, selecting product, reworking ideas and watching the finished product come-together.  
We are pleased with the quality of all the materials that we selected.  And one of the nicest surprises came when they handed us a work-schedule - - everything was documented day-by-day from the initial tear-out to the installation of the appliances to the hanging of the ceiling fan (last task).  It was WONDERFUL to be able to anticipate what would be happening each day; there was only one day when the schedule changed.
The workmen were skillful, professional and friendly.  The owners are family; we had the pleasure of dealing with Dick, Kent and Dave.  They are all helpful, responsive, easy-going, just generally 'nice' people to work with. 
Subsequent to our kitchen-project, we discovered that we needed to make some changes to our laundryroom.  We got rid of our stackable washer/dryer, purchased a side-by-side washer and dryer, and had some great cabinets installed over the appliances. 
One of our biggest surprises came last month (two years after the installation).  Suddenly we lost power to our over-the-stove microwave and stovetop.  When I called Cabinets Plus, I half-expected them to say 'sorry - - you're an old customer.  You need to call your own electrician.'  Instead, they sent an electrician over, who by the process-of-elimination discovered that something in the electrical box in the attic had 'come-loose'.  There was no charge for all his 'trouble', and it confirmed in our minds that Cabinets Plus is truly an exceptional company!  I hear they do great bathrooms too!!!  I would highly recommend them!

As we had previously worked with Cabinets Plus on other projects in multiple homes, we began the process with an email to make contact and let them know what we were considering.  After coming out and photographing the the rooms to be addressed, and discussions regarding what changes we would like to make, features we were hoping for, etc. plans were drawn up for the proposed remodel.
My husband and I visited the store to view the plans, discuss any needed changes, and to begin zeroing in on the final budget based on cabinets and extras we desired.  Once the final budget and plans were decided, another visit was scheduled to our house to verify measurements.
Cabinets were ordered (we worked with other vendors to provide the appliances), granite countertops, tile, faucets were ordered and we were on our way!  We were moving a window in the kitchen area to eliminate a "blind" corner, and Cabinets Plus worked well coordinating work with the outside vendor so that the process would be smooth.
We love the final remodel, and look forward to working with Cabinets Plus in the future on other projects!

They were extremely accommodating of changed request; while doing the project I kind of changed my mind and some of the tiles, and they took care of it without a problem. They were outstanding. I used them without taking an alternative bid, so I would not be able to rate them on price.
