We hired John Rossate of Burnside Interior Painting to paint the entire interior of our home. He came recommended from a friend. He did not measure walls and therefore kept going to the paint store (20 minutes away) every day he spent painting- which wasted A LOT of time. I do not believe he ever spent more than a couple of hours at our home and therefore the work took ~ 4 weeks (he quoted us one week). He said, on several occasions, that he would arrive by 7 am, and he did not arrive until hours later. He was never at my house after 2 pm either. He also did not show up at all once or twice, without notice. We stopped him from painting the master bedroom and master bath because we did not want it to take one or two weeks longer. We paid him our final payment. He claimed that when he did an entire house, he would come back and fix anything that needed to be fixed. While we were cleaning, we notice paint splatter around the baseboards on our wooden floor. There was also paint splatter on my black kitchen table, my black stove top, my Keurig, my garbage can lid (a $100 garbage can). We found splatter all over our banister/wooden railings up our stairs. There was splatter on my son's dresser. I also noticed splatter on the tile around our fireplace. We did not notice all of the splatter before hand- there was dust in the house from fixing nail pops and therefore it blended in. We called and left numerous messages on his cell phone. He finally called us back after ~2 weeks and said he would call us in a couple of days to set up a time to come out and clean all of the splatter. He never called or came. WE have left numerous messages on his cell phone, very nice in nature, just asking for a call back. I have also emailed him. There have been no responses.
Description of Work: Painting the interior of our home. Den, Common areas, kitchen, dining room, kid's rooms, and ceilings. We stopped him from painting the master bath and master bedroom because it was taking significantly longer than he had quoted.
