Fantastic--Love it. He added touches that we love. Great on suggestions on decorating and how to accomplish our decorating desires. We are hiring him to do our master bath now. Will report on that later
Description of Work: Completely redo hall bath from studs. Bathtub replaced by walk in shower with seat. Toilet moved. Vanity replaced. Tiled walls and floor. Used bullnase for floor molding

We live in a 1963 raised ranch house in the northwest suburbs, and this makes our second job with Chris. In 2003, he remodeled our entrance and downstairs bathroom. This time, (2008), he remodeled our den. He first had to tackle (and remove) two layers of wood paneling, while replacing drywall sections. Chris was meticulous when it came to installing the tile. As we added or subtracted projects, Chris remained flexible, adaptive, always ready to offer suggestions. Another bonus Chris brings to his clients: he s familiar with all the newest products, whether it s windows, doors, lumber, paint, you name it. He is also well-connected. He has done projects for the wealthy in the North Shore area, and also for middle-class homes like ours, and shows the same respect and courtesy, no matter who you are. He takes pride in his craftsmanship. Throughout the entire project, Chris was always polite and accommodating. He does terrific work and we recommend him highly.
Description of Work: Twelve-thousand dollars: Complete remodeling of a downstairs den, replacing old carpet and linoleum and wood paneling, and substituting a beautiful 12" square tiling (arranged in diamond / angled, rather than straight across), floor trim, painted walls, two new Andersen windows and an Andersen patio door. Includes area around washer / dryer. Installation of new cabinets above appliances. Plus, installation of new water heater (a request added by we homeowners). Replacement of four doors, two exterior and two interior, inside the home, in addition to the work in the den. Artur "Chris" Piotrowski is a talented and conscientious professional. My husband and I explained how we wanted our lower level, (or family den) area overhauled. Chris provided us with a cost estimate of (a) materials, e.g., windows, patio door, paint, tile, etc., as well as his (b) labor costs to install these.
