Dan did a great job - including cleaning up (which is something other tree removal companies don't do well). His prices are very fair, and he shows up when he says he will. I would highly recommend.

It went well. The tree is gone and they protected our lawn from the heavy equipment well enough using sheets of plywood. As a bonus, the process even flattened-out the ruts that were left by the last tree service we had a few years ago. The tree had surface roots all over the yard, which are all removed now.

Very well.. The estimate we got was less than one half of another provider, who didn't seem to appreciate that we wanted to save the damaged tree. Dan the Tree Man at Approved spent the time to tell me what needed to be done. He called back right away and was able to schedule the job within a week of my approving his estimate. The crew arrived on time and completed the job as specified and for the amount quoted. They left the area where they did the work in great shape- no broken branches or other debris left on the lawn.

Great job! Dan came out early and instructed a crew of 4 men. They did a great job and removed all tree branches and limbs and then raked the grass too. I would hire this company again. I feel that the price was fair since I had gotten a second estimate that was much higher.

I had one problem. I had 2 Spruce trees sprayed for fungus and fertilized. They told me that because I had low branches touching the ground, I should have those trimmed because that can help spread the fungus. I told them I wanted to be here so they weren't cut so high; they said they would call and they did not, they sent an email giving me a date, but not a time. They did them while I wasn't here and they were a little higher than I would have liked. Other than that issue, they did a great job. Gave me a tip that cleaning out under the trees helps keeps it from developing problems and keep the soil aerated.

Dan the tree man knows his stuff! He works hard and is honest with his pricing. He always gives us great suggestions without making a big pitch to sell us more services. When a tree fell on my mom's house he even referred us to another tree service company closer to her neighborhood. They are always on time and leave the yard nice and neat. We will absolutely continue to use these guys.

Approved Tree Care is specifically working on keeping a magnolia tree alive for us at this point.  It came down with some sort of fungus that was killing off the branches.  They have stalled and reversed the die off.
In the past they have also done trim work on a huge silver maple we have in the backyard, tied up and trimmed bushes and provided insights on what was causing spots on the leaves of our oak trees.
Dan the tree Man is knowledgeable and his team is courteous and knows that they are doing as well.
We'll continue to use Approved Tree Care in the future.

Awful. On the first tree I told the head guy not to take the big branches out. Just take the dead out and shape it. I believe there was a language barrier on what I was asking. So now I have all 9 trees looking like there's a trunk with sticks and a small amount of foliage for the size of tree. So much of my shade is gone. Totally over pruned. Because I was disappointed I called Dan and he said that's what it said on the paper. What it says in his writing, remove dead wood and raise up low hanging limbs. I pointed out where does it say anything about thinning out? He said well that's part of pruning. And he gave the response" they"ll grow back". My response" yeah in 50 years." These are old trees and now they look stupid. I'm not happy and I wished I went with the other company. UGH!!

Bought the tree service through the "Big Deal". I contacted provider and got a prompt estimate. A question came up about one of the trees as to whether it was a village tree on the parkway or a tree I was responsible for. He requested that I check with the City before he did any work. After getting the City to check things out and do the work for the one tree (that takes several months in my town), I asked the provider to finish the work on the other trees under our "Big Deal" agreement. He claimed that it expired and he could no longer perform services under the agreement. After contacting Angie's List, they confirmed the deal was still valid, but allowed me to transfer the work to another provider with the same deal. The alternate provider did a great job. I don't know where the disconnect came in with this, but Angie's List made it right for me in the end.

Approved Tree Care provided a timely and free estimate.  We went with Approved Tree Care due to their reasonable price and responsiveness.  Dan, the owner, was also sensitive to my mom's limited budget and informed us about an on-line coupon.  Dan's team arrived on time and removed the tree and cleaned up the area in under three hours.  The process of removing the tree was an art and a science.  They made dangerous and back breaking work look effortless.  The workers did an outstanding job of cleaning up the affected area.  I would highly recommend this company to others.  Dan was a pleasure to work with and if we need his services again, I will call him without hesitation.

Dan & his crew did a great job trimming & pruning a very large locust tree in front of our home. They were very neat & thorough. I had discussed  my concerns & wishes with Dan when he came out for an estimate -- and he followed everything we had talked about. Apparently locust trees are struggling more this year. I've seen most locust trees in our community with more dead or scrawny branches than ever. Dan pruned out all the dead & weak branches, removed those hanging over our roof and growing into a large spruce. I am very pleased with his service. He had removed a very large Ash tree from our backyard two years ago with the same level of neatness & care for our landscaping. His fees are reasonable & he seems very knowledgeable about landscaping issues. I would definitely recommend Approved Tree Care.
