All About Construction

Description of Work: We have had, Jack from All About Construction do several remodeling jobs for us. They have done an addition, remodeled our kitchen, hall bathroom, basement, put on a deck and now our master bath. They always do an excellent job, but I thought that I would look at a four other contractors just to satisfy my curiosity. First of all only one of them showed up on time and the others were late by an hour and fifteen minutes to just over two hours. Now I understand someone being 15 to 30 minutes late and that different things can happen especially with traffic, but if you know you are going to be later than that you should call to let someone know that you are going to be late beyond the 15-30 minutes. To me that leaves a big question in my mind as to how they would do in showing up and completing the job. As far as price was concerned, the guy who showed up on time was only slightly higher about 600.00. The other three who were late were lower by 1,585 - 2,820.00, but we just did not feel comfortable with them so we stayed with our current contractor. We know that we can trust him and we don’t have to worry about leaving them alone in the house. As far as the master bath remodeling goes. They started by removing all the old stuff the vanity, top, medicine cabinet, toilet, tub, tiled walls and tile floor. Then they move a couple of walls to enlarge our shower area and put in new plumbing for our shower so that we could have multiple shower spray heads and enlarged the drain size. Then they made the customized shower floor and began to tile and install everything else. The only thing that he suggested that we didn’t do, but thought afterwards we should have done was to do the solid single pieces of granite for each of the shower walls and that way we would not have had any grout lines to deal with in the future, but we liked the design of the tile better.
