ACE HARDWARE

Over the years, and numerous "do-it-yourself" projects, I've come to rely on the good folks at Ace Hardware. From plumbing, electrical, and plastering, to painting, staining, and finding the correct tool. Ace IS the place of the "helpful hardware person". Within minutes of entering the store I'm able to find assistance and if the initial contact is unsure of how to help, there is always an expert available who walks me through everything step-by-step. I've spent hours wandering around the large home repair stores in search of assistance, let alone someone with experience in the home repair field. Sure, they may have better pricing, but the assistance from Ace is money well spent.

THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY GOOD AT TAKING RETURNS. SOMEONE ALWAYS ASKS IF THEY CAN HELP ME FIND SOMETHING.

I LIVE WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF MY LOCAL ACE HARDWARE AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I HAVE GONE TO THEM WITH A WIDE RANGE OF QUESTIONS - EVERYTHING FROM STAINING WINDOWS, TO SUMP PUMP ISSUES, TO FINDING AN OBSCURE LIGHT BULB SIZE. I CAN ALWAYS FIND SOMEONE QUICKLY TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS AND THE PERSON IS GENERALLY QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE. AT THE RISK OF SOUNDING SEXIST, I ENJOY THE FACT THAT THERE ARE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE WOMEN ON STAFF. THE MEN ARE JUST AS HELPFUL, IT'S JUST LESS INTIMIDATING TO ASK A WOMAN. FOR SOMEONE WHOSE KNOWLEDGE OF VIRTUALLY EVERY ASPECT OF HOME MAINTENANCE IS LIMITED, THE SERVICE CAN'T BE BEAT. THEY ALSO CARRY A WIDE RANGE OF ITEMS, ALTHOUGH I THINK THE PRICES MIGHT BE HIGHER THAN YOU WOULD FIND AT ONE OF THE BIG STORES.
