URBAN LUMBER JACKS

F & M Landscape & Tree Service did a great job.  We called and left a message on their machine that we wanted a bid.  The next morning Sheila returned our call and set up a time for Frank, the owner, to come out and bid the job.  Within 3 days, Frank came by and walked the property and gave us the estimate.  We agreed to the price and Frank said the work would be done within approximately two weeks.  We asked and were told yes, that they would call us before coming out for the job as one of us works out of town, and we wanted to give our neighbors a heads-up that a tree service was coming and be able to unlock fence gates. 
They came out within the two weeks and started the job one afternoon.  However, we gave them a B for punctuality, because there was no phone call prior to them coming, which was a surprise when one of us came home from work at the end of the day as the other one was out of town and we did not get the advance notification of their appearing on the property.
That said, F & M did excellent work over the day and a half they were on the property.  The willow tree was huge, and the crew had to do climbing to take it down, plus drag it to the street to have it chipped.  The ash tree was within 20 feet of the house, and they had to use care to take down the trunk correctly.  The stump grinding went well.  The trimming of the birch was what we desired so as to not have branches hanging over towards the neighbors and the blooming tree was trimmed lightly.  They raked the yard of the larger sticks and twigs upon completion.  We still had to go out after they were done and pick up twigs, but that's to be expected with such large trees coming down.

They were polite, did the job quickly and as promised. They cleaned up all of the leaves and branches. It was a small job for them and they did it well. It would have been a big job for us and would have taken an entire weekend with hauling it away and we couldn't have gotten rid of the roots. A job well done.

The overall experience was good. They were reasonable and did good work. They cleaned up well. They clean up after themselves.
