Joe took my deposit, started 3 weeks late, told me it would take 4 - 6 weeks to finish the project. Worked on it for 3 weeks, only completing the framing of the bathroom and additional room. He received his second progress payment and hasn't shown up since or returned phone calls. It has been 6 weeks since he last worked. I filed a complaint with the BBB and with the Oswego Chamber of Commerce that informed me that he has at least four other similar complaints from people that have given deposits and had him run off with their money and not finish their work or return phone calls. Don't be fooled by the fact that he talks a good game and shows up on time for his estimates and to get his deposits. He will complete the first phase of your work to get paid more and leave you high and dry. I only wish I had done better homework and hope that prospective clients of his read this and avoid my mistakes. Litigation lies ahead at this point.
