VanderVeer did a great job all around.  Steve came to our house for a quote and was both extremely knowledgeable and personable.  He took the time to explain why the cement on our driveway was popping as well as the materials and service he would perform to fix this issue.  As expected, it was a bit of a hassle for me to obtain the permits necessary from the village to get this work approved as I work during the day and most offices are closed.  Steve was very pleasant and patient during this process. Once work commenced, VanderVeer went above and beyond what was quoted.  I left in the morning for work and when I returned the entire project was done and looking great.  We were left with a beautiful drive and stoop that many neighbors have since complemented me on.  I would absolutely use them in the future.  Great marks all around.

Great! They arrived, much to my surprise, before my scheduled and quot;startand quot; date and were diligent in their work completing the entire job in 1 1/2 days. They were extremely accommodating as I added a few things at the last minute. Although they were not the cheapest estimate I received I was pleased with the professionalism, courtesy and responsiveness of the entire team. I received quality product and professional work ethic which was well worth the cost. I certainly will not hesitate to recommend them.

I had contacted two other companies prior to this one. The other companies took days to come out for an estimate and up to another week to snail mail me a quote. I was surprised when I called for an estimate and Steve came out the same day. He was the most professional out of the all the companies, was easy to talk to and answered my questions. Within 15 minutes of arriving, he gave me a printed quote which was competitive. I signed. Work was scheduled for 10 days out. He called the day before to let me know what time to expect the installers. They arrived on time and within a few hours I had a new front stoop. Great family team who were also easy to talk to and detailed about their work. Good job. I would recommend them to anyone.

The house was built in 1972 and original steps were still in place. A crack had developed between two of the steps. The walkway from the steps to the driveway had drifted away from the steps. The two sides of the bottom step had broken out and needed to be repaired. Overall the stairs needed to be repaired but not necessarily replaced which would be very expensive. Vander Veer was the lowest estimate. The communication was excellent as told me exactly what they were planning to do and then carried it out without a problem. Two men arrived when they said they would and removed the walkway, placed forms for the new walkway and later poured the cement. Repaired the crack in the step and the area at either side of the bottom step. They then placed a light coat of cement to overlay the steps and stoop. It was all finished in one day and they cleaned up the area very well. Very satisfied with the work and communication and would use again.

Responded within an hour to my email request for a quote and came out the first weekend. Was very punctual. Quote was in the middle of what we received, and decided to move forward based on work he performed at a neighbor's house. Day of install, they were very prompt and completed the job quickly. Came back the following day to clean up. This is the 3 concrete contractor I have used in the the last 3 years and by far the best.

Steve was very professional--he returned my calls promptly and he arrived for the estimate and the repair work when he said he would. He answered all my questions completely. The entire job was completed in 1 day. Crew left the site clean and neat. Driveway looks terrific. The company had a B rating on the list (mostly for price as I recall) but I chose to go with them anyway because they were one of the few companies in my area and because I was impressed with Steve when I met him. Their price was lower than the other estimates I got and I am very happy that I hired them.

Steve responded to our call quickly, although he had to re-schedule the first appointment. He made the 2nd appointment and was on time and gave us an estimate for the work we requested. We accepted his estimate right away as we had 4 previous estimates made and we found his price the lowest and most reasonable than other estimates. Work was done 1 week after agreement and work was completed in one day. The only thing I did not like was that one of our garden lights was damaged. And also, a portion at the top of the basement stairs was measured and I'm sure included in the total estimate but on work day they said it would be hard to remove it, and did not. However, nothing was deducted from the total price. They cleaned up really good, though.

It is not a year old and there are five cracks- two major and three hairline.

The companies crew was professional and hard working. Steve and his father were very cooperative to modifications and additions to the original plan. The price was very competitive, and we are really satisfied.
