 + 0 moreI am writing this review only because I read similar complaints from other customers. The provider has a beautiful online showroom and they encouraged me to pick and choose from what I see at their website for an approximate charge of 3,000. The problem was that since my stairway is narrower than usual, I wanted some additional help, advice and suggestions on special railings designed for narrow spaces. Their last email was on 12/9/14 and since then I haven't heard anything from the provider, even though I have emailed and left 2 voice mail messages.
Description of Work: The provider quoted me on a project that never materialized due to providers failure to follow up with my requests. They are very polite and their online showroom is beautiful but they don't follow up.

Description of Work: They, (Lars) came to our home to give us an estimate. In truth, he was supposed to give us 2 different quotes. He was prompt and was very thorough at the time of his appointment. Unfortunately that's all that I can say about him that is positive. |After nearly a month of waiting we contacted Roseland Stairs, but we were screened by the receptionist. We couldn't speak to him directly. We were told that he would get back to us, and when he did it was just an e-mail. |The e-mail contained a whole whopping sentence stating that he was waiting for a third party to quote him (for a particular product for our project). |I emailed him again to see if he completed the other quote and he never responded. |

 + -1 moreI emailed Roseland Stairs and got a fairly quick response from the office manager to schedule a time when someone can come out to take a look. Ken came by for the estimate and it showed that he knew his stuff as he commented on the inferior installation of the old railings and what he would do to more securely anchor down the newel posts (the safety of the railings was a big concern since we have a small child). I did get another estimate and Roseland was a little bit higher in price and was not going to use the exact kind of wood. Ken worked with me on the contract and I ended up getting what I wanted for a comparable price. Ken was great for answering my emails in a timely manner. I had many questions and he was very patient with me. The installation went well and fairly quickly. Still need to get the railings finished (Roseland and other stair places do not stain or seal the wood). The railings are gorgeous. They really improved the appearance of my home and were a good investment. I am very happy with the quality work. I would definitely recommend.
Description of Work: Complete tear off and disposal of existing wood railings and balusters. Replaced with wood railings and newels; wrought iron balusters. This was about 50 feet of railings.
