We are not only very pleased with the orders my husband & I made: A brand Vinyl Plank flooring made by Shaw, for three locations in our home. But also the company, Pro-Carpet, who performed the installation. They were absolutely excellent; very professional, neat, & courteous with their work. I would not hesitate to have them for future installations.
My husband & I also ordered brand blinds made by Roth & Allen for almost our entire home. Again, we were not only pleased with this product, but also the installation company, Finishing Touches. The company was very professional, neat, and courteous & provided helpful suggestions. I would not hesitate to have them for future installations.
You have a double protection with Lowe?s, because their name stands behind the installation companies that they use.
All in all with Lowe?s it was a really good experience. The Blind?s Sales Associate, Michelle, & the Flooring Assistant Store Manager, Mike were excellent. They were courteous, patient, & made sure everything went through smoothly.
Upon delivery I was asked to come outside and look at the fridge. It was a little after 7 PM and getting dark. The installer showed me a substantial dent in the door. He stated they could order a new door and install it or bring the unit back and order a new one, but he didn't know how long it would take for a new fridge to be delivered. I wasn't happy about this but our current refrigerator wasn't working and our family of 5 couldn't go without, so I accepted the damaged unit.
The installers couldn't hook up the water because they were out of the adapter needed . Around this time I should have been more observant but I was receiving guests at the front door for a party we were hosting that evening. I signed the paperwork which stated a new door was to be ordered and installed, I added water needs to be connected.
I went into the kitchen and was appalled at the condition of the "new refrigerator" it was filthy. you could see someone took the time to wipe down the top 2/3rd s but the bottom was covered in dust. Just like the floor/demo models are in the store.
I paid for a new refrigerator and was sent a damaged demo.
I called the next morning and was told they were sorry this happened. They were ordering a new unit which will be in in a week, and they would send someone out to hook up the water. The next day a different delivery crew arrived and informed me the previous delivery crew "crimped" the water line and it would need to be replaced by a plumber.
I will update this review with a resolution when there is one.
**Update** Second fridge was delivered damaged. A third was ordered and delivered. I never received the requested reimbursement for the damaged water line.
Throughout this nightmare I spoke with three different managers. All three were less than competent. All three were unprofessional and uncaring of my situation. The Orland Park Lowes is a prime example of the negatives of Big box stores.
The management team has no pride or ownership in the operation.
