JOHN KOMPERDA CONSTRUCTION is a top of the line company. They wrapped up a large job in a couple days in a very efficient and effective manner. I've given John's name and phone number to several friends. Price was right in the ballpark. Safety was practiced at all times. We could not have been happier.

Great Service, John came to our home himself to give us a free estimate on the roof replacement. He asked us what we needed and any issues we knew about. He explained what would be done and addressed the issues we identified. The estimate was emailed to us on the same day. We liked the price and the explanation of the work to be carried out so we accepted the estimate the same day. Communication was excellent. I had removed the insulation in the garage roof and discovered more boards that would need replacing. John replied right away and assured us that they would replace any boards that need replacing and the price per board which we thought was very fairly priced. The work was completed in one day and the new roof looks great. The materials used are of great quality. The team is friendly and did an excellent job taking care of my property and cleaning up. I would definitely have them back to replace the roof when we purchase our new home and would recommend to all my family and friends.

We have a two story victorian home with a big and very steep roof with multiple dormers. (14/12 pitch.) Our job involved installation of a whole GAF Timberland HD roofing system, starting with removal of five layers of shingles extending back to 1894, and ending with installation of a Cobra Ridge Vent. All shingles were hand-nailed, to avoid the shingle damage problems that can result when using nail-guns. Working with John Komperda Construction was a genuine pleasure. Many members of John's crew have been with him for decades. All very professional and highly experienced. We liked the fact that John pays his crew of 13 well and treats them with respect— very different than many of the exploitive low-ball contractors in the roofing industry. I highly recommend John Komperda Construction Company.

The work itself was delayed by various factors. However, when John's large crew arrived, they started and completed the job in two days on our very tall, steep and complicated roof, which astounded us. Besides taking great care of our property, they also took great pains to ensure that no problems arose on our neighbor's property, where they were compelled to set up ladders and drop debris. The new roof looks very handsome and the guys did a comprehensive clean-up.

John is exceptional when it comes to customer service, professionalism and quality of work performed. He returned my calls immediately. He came to give an estimate the same day. He took pictures of the problems with the roof and patiently explained to me what needed to be done, why it needed to be done and how he would do the work. I talked with four roofers and John was the only one who alerted me to some chimney issues that I should address. He recommended I get that fixed before putting the new roof on. We had some leaks in the roof and he caulked the obvious spots to “tide us over” until we could fix the chimney issues. He did this before knowing if we would hire him or another roofer. John cares about the quality of his work. He does not take short cuts. He put some samples of shingles on our roof to help us decide what color of shingle we wanted. He and his 16 man crew arrived on time and finished replacing our roof in one day. The workers cleaned up the job site very well when finished. It was a pleasure to work with John and I would hire him again with great confidence.

I can't say enough about the work that John and his crew did.  They installed and trimmed out 14 windows and the sliding glass door.  They were very professional and the workmanship is top notch!  Our house has never looked better.  We really appreciated John's advise/suggestions and felt very comfortable working with him.  They were very good about protecting all of our floors, etc. from any dust and dirt.  They cleaned up everything and when I came home after work the day of the install, I could not even tell they had been there except for the great new windows and door!!!  Yes, I felt comfortable leaving them in the house without being there.  John had installed our new roof in June of 2015 so we felt very comfortable working with his company again.  The windows were delivered the day before the install was scheduled as promised.  The entire project went just as promised and we could not be more pleased!

We have zero complaints and only praise for Komperda.  They were efficient, professional, clean, thorough, and pleasant.  Komperda's quote was higher than others, but he does a first-rate, top-notch, quality job and doesn't cut corners.  So, apples to apples, it was a good price.  He knows the right way to do the job, and takes ownership of it.  There were many guys here and they got it done quickly.  And cleaned up afterward such that we couldn't even tell they were there.

John brought a crew of approximately 17 men. They worked quickly and professionally, and completed the job in one day.

They always come back and fix any issues without charge. They clean up after every service meticulously.

Remembering what a good job they did on my house roof 14 years ago, I decided to get a quote on the garage. It was the best out of three I received and so hired them to do the job. Once again the work was done professionally, efficiently and quickly. My garden plants were protected, as were the walls of my garage, and the driveway. A meticulous clean-up of supplies and debris

Called John to come over to my house for an estimate on installing a new roof. He showed
up the next day and gave us a firm price 0n removing three layers of roofing and installing a new roof.
Fifteen workers showed up in the early morning and proceeded to tear off the old roof. they finished
the entire job in one day. Amazing!

Update: 9/23/13 - A tree limb came down and hit the corner of my house and bent up all the framing. It knocked the lower gutter off, and I would like to have it fixed. His son came out without a ladder, but took some pictures and said they'd come back out. I've called many times and left many voicemails, but they won't respond to me.

They came on time and did a great job. I would definitely use this company again.

John Komperda called me back promptly and sent a reasonable and timely estimate. He has done a large number of roofs in our area, and gave me references, as well as addresses of houses to look at to help us choose a shingle color.
We agreed on an approximate service date (weather dependent), then Mr. Komperda called several days ahead. The morning the work began, a large crew arrived early, worked rapidly all day, and completed our roof in a single day. Gutters completed on the following day.
The workers were polite, the site supervisor was easy to communicate with, and was available for all my questions. The site was kept reasonably clean all day and workers cleaned up well in the evening, including nail removal.
Re-roofing is a difficult experience, but Mr. Komperda is easy to work with, and I really appreciated that it was done well and in a single day. It's been 2 1/2 years and we've had no problems at all.

John Komperda (JK) responded within 24 hours to my request for an estimate.I asked for estimates from 3 different contractors but only 2 responded. JK was the lowest estimate by far, for the exact same services.JK promised to do the work in 1 day.John did not require a down payment and insisted I pay him only upon completion.John called 2 days before the start of work. His crew arrived at 7am of the day promised and would have finished in 1 day but I added additional siding work to JK's scope of work.Even with the substantial extra work JK finished in 2 days.The crew was professional and the work was performed in a clean, professional and safe manner. The crew wore safety hareness and safety cables whenever they were on the roof.John appointed a representative among the crew that answered any questions. John stopped by several times while the work was underway. I thought the project went very well and I would recommend John Komperda to anyone looking for a roofing and siding contractor.i

No story here, just happy about the process and now on to my next home remodeling project.

The roof was real complicated. He did a lot of special things. He moved our downspout for us so we wouldn't have an ice problem on our deck. He put in a larger water pipe. He put a lot of copper flushing down. He was so careful of the dog. He worked in December. They picked up after themselves. They even took away our broken microwave to a recycling center. For about the same price he did more than other service providers. John put water barriers over a large area of our house.
