They did not install the ladder. Numerous phone calls to service manager Tom, who promised they would send someone out this week. Over a week now, and no ladder! Snippy woman on the phone before my husband requested to speak to a manager snared that it was in the contract we signed that ladder installation wasn't included. Calls to the salesman, Jeff, went unreturned. Funny, we were going to purchase a spa this fall, and even discussed it with Jeff, who promised to give us a good deal, and we've spent thousands over 20 years at this store. Wow! Over a simple ladder installation, they have lost our business. In addition, the installers put the pump out of reach for the electrical plug, and our electrician had to move it to the correct position.

Purchased a pool from American Sale 08/27/2016. Installed 08/31/2016. The agreement states that the customer is responsible for dirt haul away, however no one explained the amount of dirt that would be left once the pool was installed. American Sale subcontracts its installation crew. They arrived on time, and used a bobcat to get from the street to the yard. This caused major damage to the yard. The amount of leveling needed, produced a pile of dirt nearly 4ft high (see photo below). I contacted American Sale to discuss the damage and without apology I was scolded and advised to reread the agreement. We ended up spending an additional $700 to have the dirt hauled away & the yard is still ruined. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service provided by American Sale. They were quick to sell us the pool, but withheld important facts of what might occur during installation and offered no apology for the outcome.

When I ordered my furniture from Krista I was so happy with her customer service. It was delivered on time and the delivery person was great. I immediately went in and wrote a raving review about Krista and America Sales and their great Customer Service. That was then - now is now and how things can change when something goes wrong! Unfortunately, I experienced a problem with the large cushion on my over-sized chair. The furniture is kept on a covered screened in balcony and a small bit of water got on the water resistant cushion. When I tried to get the water mark out with cold water it just got worse. I understand things like this happen. I contacted Krista who said she would have customer service contact me, which they did, and I sent over pictures to customer service on July 15th as requested. Received an e-mail from customer service that they would send the pictures to the provider of cushions. I heard nothing back from anyone so sent an e-mail to Brittany (American Sales Customer Service) on 8/3 to ask what was happening. I heard nothing back. Called Krista 2nd week of August and she said the the cushion was going to be delivered. I asked when and she said she would let me know. Since I heard nothing back from Krista I talked to Tom the Manager of American Sales regarding the issue. He said he would check and get back to me. That was about a week and a half ago. He left one message on a Thursday and he said he would get back to me on Monday. Did not hear back. I stopped in the store on Thursday 8/28 and Tom said he made a call but did not get an answer, but forgot to call me back. I asked for the name of his Manager and he gave me the District Manager's name - Jim Gerlock. Called and left a message for Jim on 8/28. Have not heard back as of today September 2nd. Called Jim's number back on 8/29 and again not in and I talked to a Sandy and asked her for Jim's e-mail address and was told they do not give out this info. I have now left a message at the Corporate Office of American Sales in Tinley Park, Customer Service for a call back. Doubt I will hear anything back, since as you can see, I have left messages and/or tried to talk to Krista, Brittany (customer service) Tom, Jim, Sandy and the Corporate Office. When talking to Tom and and leaving messages for Jim and customer service I mentioned if I can't get info on whats going on I'm going to contact Angie's List, Yelp etc. and this did not spark an ounce of interest or concern. At this point I have contacted the BBB, Wells Fargo (American Sales uses them to finance transactions).
Sent letter today to Tom, Jim and the Corporate Headquarters and Wells Fargo. At this point I do not know who to contact to get this resolved. It's sad that excellent customer service, at the time of the sale, went to being totally ignored when a problem that could have easily been resolved with no complaints after the sale. I have been involved in sales for over 45 years and these types of employees want to make the sale but obviously do not respect the company they work for so as to insurre repeat business. Hopefully, Angie's List can help me get this issue resolved. At this point I'm going on 7 Weeks waiting for an answer. End of Summer now. I don't mind taking my precious time writing and quot;goodand quot; reviews but resent taking this same time having to complain about poor service.

I had a great experience working with Krista the Sales Associate in the outdoor furniture department. I was shopping around at many stores in the area. It was actually Krista's follow-up call that brought me back into the store the day the sale ended and I purchased my furniture. Since I had time, if she had not called, I would have waited and continued shopping around. She spent much time tracking down and pricing what turned out to be the ideal wicker furniture for me and my limited space. It was perfect for my enclosed balcony and I was torn between colors and she (over my friend and sister's suggestions) told me to go with my first choice. I did and could not be happier. American Sales is lucky to have such a professional, yet fun and friendly salesperson. I know, I've been in Sales for over 40 years! She also called the day of the delivery and asked how I liked it. I was also impressed with the young man who delivered the furniture. I regret getting his name but I hope American Sales will track it down and also recognize a job well done. He was so fast and had such a pleasant energetic disposition. This, after climbing 4 flights of stairs.
