Theses people are liars.

We hired them to move our family of 5 from Vermont to Illinois. They were more expensive than the other company we considered but their delivery window was better so we spent the extra money and agreed to over $40,000 for packing and moving us. It's been 3 weeks since they drove away with our belonging and 10 days since they missed our delivery window. Part of our belongings are in a warehouse in Illinois and part are in a warehouse in Vermont. Allied refuses to agree to pay for items we need to live while they hold everything we own. We are sleeping on the floor, have nowhere to sit, and have had to purchase work clothes and other necessities that we were told should have been delivered weeks ago. Their customer service does nothing but deflect and shirk responsibility. No one at Allied has even apologized for the situation they have put us in. Shame on ALLIED for promising services they knew they couldn't provide. Shame on me for not looking at the Better Business Bureau complaints and reviews. They clearly don't take care of their customers. Be Warned.

Excellent service

Keep track of all your keys that lock drawers. They locked a drawer to a file cabinet and they do not know where it was put. It was not in the box with **supplies** where they kept track of parts for furniture that was taken apart and reassembled. Because the cost of a locksmith was less than the deductible I chose, I am out of the cost of a locksmith. Also, the unpackers that were hired (day help) spoke very little English and probably did not read English very well as they placed boxes marked fragile, upside down, and stacked other boxes on top of those boxes. It seems that they were just in a hurry to get the truck unloaded and move on to the next job. Primary company EMRICK was good the driver was very communicative and answered all question and he personally reassembled all the furniture. Two casualties: one 8x10 glass baking dish and metal frame on a mirror received some minor scratches. Overall... I am satisfied, but not worth above a 3 rating

Moved from North US to south US... and had possessions going to three different places. There were no issues with my belongings & everything arrived timely. I was extremely pleased with their services.

The absolute worst moving experience I have ever had. I spent 24 years in the Military. I have moved more times than I care to remember. First of all, Allied Van Lines DOES NOT MOVE YOU! They subcontract out to whatever shady mover they find. Allied insists you make a 1/3 deposit on the move before moving forward. Then you are given a 2-day window for your move. The movers were Budget Movers. They insist on being paid in cash or postal money order. 1/3 when they pack you up, 1/3 when they deliver. In my case, it took ONE MONTH to get my furniture delivered. I called every few days, always some sob story about not having a truck full enough to move my belongings to me. I was packed out December 3rd, I expected my delivery on December 7th but did not get my furniture till January 7!! A terrible, terrible experience.

Excellent movers

These guys were great; the group out of Sterling. They drove and unloaded the items without any damage. The timing was perfect, and they kept us informed and professional service.

The moving crews on both ends of the trip were prompt, efficient, and courteous. This was a cross-country move, and it would have required several trips if we had rented a truck and moved ourselves, and the cost would have been almost as much. We were pleasantly surprised at the end of the move when the final price was significantly less than the estimate.

They took a $3700 deposit and then the truck never showed up. I am still waiting to get my money back after waiting for over a month.

We had a really good hardworking team. On pack out day the moving van would not fit in our driveway, so they brought in a box truck pack it full then drove it to the street and moved everything to the van. They did that 3 times. On arrival at the destination, we had the same team. Again van would not fit in the driveway so they carried every item up the driveway and into the house. Those guys worked hard. We had minimal breakage, but nothing serious.

Kelly worked with us from Beginning to End and was extremely professional and informative. We had the same driver (Jimmy) pick up in NY and deliver our household to FL. He was efficient, pleasant and professional and knew exactly what to do and when. He used two local people to assist with the unloading (Sean and Will.) Both of these men were knowledgeable and also professional. THANK YOU to Allied/Ideal Movers for having the BEST make our move go smoothly. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

They did everything right and the final total was less than the estimate. We highly recommend them and would choose them if we have to move again.

They give a guaranteed delivery date, but they say it is really not a guarantee. The finally delivered our items 4 1/2 weeks later. We were nine hours away. I will NEVER use them again.

Lost items. They rushed and scuffed up my newly painted walls. They did not fully reassemble the beds or furniture they took apart. I had them pack only a few boxes and they still managed to lose lamp parts.
