WOLFGANG LOENTZ, Oak Park Piano

I have a 70 year old baby grand, the last time I had the piano taken apart and redone was 17 years ago. My cat got a bag of kitty treats into the piano when the top was up. everything got under the strings and hammers. I called Wolfgang, they came out a week later, and did an excellent job,They had to remove the keyboard, to get inside and under the strings, it seems my cat has been nesting there, because they pulled out a lot of fur, and the dust over the years really accumulated. Everything looked great , and the tuning was perfect, the piano sounds great. Highly recommend them

On the first visit Wolfgang was late, but he did call ahead to let us know he was delayed in traffic.  Subsequent visits were punctual.
He explained the work thoroughly and there were no surprises in the cost.  The regulation work was excellent; the piano's action is like new again.  Tuning was good, although there were a couple areas where the voicing wasn't what I hoped for.  A squeak in the sustain pedal was corrected, but it returned about a month later.  I haven't had him back yet to try fixing it again.
He kept the work area very clean, and was generally careful of the household furnishings, but didn't warn us when he needed to stop the door open to carry the action components out.  We have a cat who could have slipped out, and the weather was very cold.

Excellent service.  Responded very quickly to my request for an appointment and was able to work around my schedule.  Arrived on time and was very efficient.  Wolfgang provided the tuning as requested and also provided an analysis of future repair needs for my piano (a baby grand over 50 years old.)  He sent me a written quote within just a couple of hours so that I can make decisions on next steps for my piano.

Great job. Piano sounds much better and everything was done very professionally. Would highly recommend.

Mr. Loentz was terrific.  My 20-year-old upright Yamaha piano hadn't been tuned in a decade.  Mr. Loentz told me at the outset that the piano was in pretty bad shape and would take about an hour and fifteen minutes to tune.  True to his word, he was done in just over an hour.  Mr. Loentz did a great job, and the piano sounds beautiful.  I plan on using Mr. Loentz regularly!

The piano was too old and out of function to spend the money to fix it, my friend was pleased to know and I was happy she had some answers.  Mr Leontz was professional and according to her knew what he was talking about
