I was very happy with the results both times. Kenny shows up on time with the tools he needs to do the job. He works in a quick and efficient manner. He does good quality work. He charges a reasonable flat hourly rate.

I do my part by having things layed out when he arrives - this saves his time and my money. For example when he hung the flat screen TV on the wall I had the instruction book from the TV and the instructions for the wall mount available and clipped open at the right page.

He is totally trust worthy. I can give him the keys and trust him coming in and out of my place. He gives me good advice on things he is familiar with and works on like how to fix things and that kind of things.

Kenny Whitelaw is the owner. My wife was happy with him and he was fine. The work done by The Renaissance Handyman does look a lot better. They did a nice job on that. The stucco work that they did was fine. If the price was way too much, we wouldn’t have done the job. I think the price was probably fair. It was pretty personal since we were dealing with the owner. We had no complaints. I am not the right guy to talk about the price since I always think everything is too expensive. You get what you pay for, but you never get more than you pay for. However, we didn’t get less than what we paid for. I don’t really know what we paid. I think my wife called a few places and they were available. It wasn’t a major job. They were really responsive. That’s probably how we got to them. We would consider using their services again, but we have kind of developed a relationship with a local outfit here. Kenny is not very close to where we live and I think he is in one of the suburbs.

Kenny is awesome in every way.  Super-nice guy, responsive, great service, quality work, reasonable rates, etc.  I could just keep on going.  My only hesitation to giving The Renaissance Handyman the glowing review that I am is that he will become so popular via Angie's List that I will have to wait forever to book him!    Anyway - highest possible recommendation.

I called Kenny and he asked me to e-mail a list of the work to be done.  He responded as promised and scheduled a time to do the work within a few days.  He arrived on time, worked consistently while here, and cleaned up when he finished.  All the work was done well. 

We'd met with Kenny the week before to go over numerous issues in our house--he was very friendly and took the time to listen and discuss all of our concerns. He arrived on time for the the work that we'd settled on, and the time spent on the tasks came in close to his initial estimate. We definitely will use him again in the future.

I had Ken out to quote work on our entry door which was not latching properly, and additionally was quite drafty. His quote was competitive with two others received, and I appreciated his friendly demeanor. He was out to do the work just a few days after we scheduled it, and it took him just under an hour to complete. Quality of work appears excellent and he took care to clean up at completion. Would definitely hire Ken again and recommend to friends.

I would highly recommend Ken -- his prices are very reasonable; he is creative, pleasant, clean and won't leave until everything is done right.

Last time he came out he fixed our front door, repaired plaster and painted our stairwell, fixed our banister, as well as other odd jobs. He is prompt, he worked quickly, and he is nice guy.

Very professional, on time, have been using for years. I have an old house and we always figure out the necessary repairs. I trust him with being in my house when I'm not there.

I was very happy with the work performed. He is an expert at hanging light fixtures, which can be challenging in an older home. Was punctual and very pleasant. Will certainly call again when handyman services are needed. .

Very prompt, efficient and effective. He also had some creative ideas to solve problems that had been on the list for a while.

My first experience with Kenny was a very good one and I wrote a report to that. My second experience was not pleasant.

Kenny is outstanding and very easy to work with. He completed everything in the manner he said he would, and I am very pleased about how the work was completed.

He did a very good job. We live two blocks from the library and we actually saw him working for them as well. He was repairing one of two the front doors. He was neat. The banister going down to the basement was difficult, but he worked diligently to solve the problem. If he was going to be late he would call. We would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Kenny can do everything. He has put together furniture. He has installed electronic equipment. He has repaired bicycles and toys. He has poured concrete. He has put together a garden fountain. If it is complex or simple, he figures it out and sometimes saves you money in the process!

Kenny is excellent. I have been using his services for a while now. He is extremely knowledgeable and friendly!

In a word his work is excellent. He arrives when he says he will, and is very industrious and professional. He is also observant, in that he found that our water heater had sprung a leak in the connecting piping, alerted us, took the needed precautions, and cleaned up all the spillage from the leak. He is able to do tasks, such as replacing electrical ballasts, and basic plumbing, that would be very costly to be done by those specialists. If he feels a job needs more work than he can provide, like with our front door which gets a lot of use, he'll fix it best he can, and advises us where we can get the work done.

Great - he is easy to work with and professional.
