I first hired Slipcover Plus 15 years ago to slipcover 3 chairs. They looked great and I still have them with their original slipcovers. I recently had them make a slipcover for my chaise couch. They did it very quickly and it looks beautiful. I have bulldogs who live on the couch so reupholstering or buying a new couch did not make sense since the dogs would do a number on those too. I purchased machine washable fabric for the slipcovers on my own. The slipcovers are fitted to the couch and have cording. Each cushion has its own slipcover. Anthony spent 4 hours In my house pinning the fabric around the couch and cushions to ensure it fit as perfectly as possible. I am going to have them make more slipcovers for this same couch.

The furniture included 2 very large rockers, 2 small side chairs and a love seat, all with fabric on both front and back. Ms.Jillian was extremely helpful in assisting me with choosing fabrics--not an easy task when all pieces must "blend". They both picked up and delivered all the pieces. When I had an "issue" with one area of upholstery in each of the pieces (the pieces all have very unique detail areas) instead of having to pick up all my furniture to take back to the shop to "fix", the owner Anthony bent over backwards to instead send out his upholsterer, Isaac, to fix the areas in my home! He was wonderful. They also refinished all the worn areas of the wood on all pieces, to include the side table, and did an absolutely beautiful job. I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable the cost was. And I have my furniture for Thanksgiving! Jillian also made side pillows, with pillow inserts, plus made seat cushions for my kitchen chairs, which had been impossible to find due to their apparent unique size. All pieces coordinate beautifully. I highly recommend this company. Ask for Jillian---she was always on time, very responsive and gave me regular progress updates.

Only reason not A was there was a stain on the fabric first time brought slip cover to be installed but he took care it of it and fitted the couches perfectly. Owner was very helpful in choosing fabric and making suggestions as to where cording should be located.

. It is a family run business. We took them some cushions in which we thought were dead and they have come back after re-covering them. They are very prompt and their prices are great. They are good and economical. These chairs were a give-up situation and they re-covered them and they are great. We were surprised. They are hard workers. . They did a good job for the price we paid. We would use them in the future.

Overall it was a great experience. Usually I dread big projects but this went so smoothly. From the first phonecall to the delivery, it was stress free. That means alot to me. As so many people do, I have a very busy life and no time for extra headaches. I am truly happy with everything and would definately recommend slipcover plus to anyone.

I wish I could give this company a higher grade because the brothers who own the company are nice people and seemed to WANT to do a good job. But everything that could have gone wrong with this project did. First, when they brought the chair slipcovers to my house, they were missing the cover for one of the back cushions and realized they hadn't ordered enough fabric. And the two bench cushions were actually long, oddly lumpy pillows, not bench cushions, so they had to re-do those. Then, when they returned the completed back chair cushion, the fabric had been sewn together incorrectly -- the lines of the chenille went vertically on one side and horizontally on the other. So they had to take it back and redo it. When they brought that cushion back AGAIN, there was a huge rip in the seam, so they had to take that cushion back yet again. When they brought it back once more, the seam was still ripped -- it hadn't been sewn. So they took it back AGAIN and finally sewed it up. Lastly, when he used a steam iron to smooth out the fabric on the chairs, he had the heat set too high and he burned the chenille fabric in several places -- it's crispy to the touch and you can see the burn marks. (They offered to re-do them, but I'd lost patience with the project at that point.) The brothers were apologetic with every misstep, and eventually got the project done, but I think there's a real lack of communication between the brothers and their staff who does the sewing.

"Slipcover Plus Uhpholstery has serviced thousands of customers over the years and thankfully 99.5% of them have a great experience. In the case of this member, it seemed like a case of whatever could go wrong did go wrong. Unfortunately it happened to a nice girl like her, I am always willing to service a customer as she said, I suppose I stepped in a bit later than I should have but in the end she did get a quality completed project."

Horrific experience. The company told me how much fabric to order. It took six weeks to get the fabric. Then, the company told me they were wrong and needed more, so the project was delayed by several more weeks. They seemed incapable of setting an exact appointment to come take measurements, get fabric and drop things off. When they finally came out to get the fabric, which cost $40 a yard, they cut it, wadded it up and stuffed it in a garbage bag to transport. When they finally brought the slipcovers, the zippers were different colors and some fabric was torn on the pillows, and a major seam was crooked on the main piece. They took the pillow covers immediately, and promised to come back, get, and repair the seam "ASAP", but as soon as my check cleared I never heard from them again, despite many attempts to follow up. Overall loss: $635-$235 for their services, and $400 for the fabric.

"SLIPCOVER PLUS HAS BEEN DOING BUSINESS FOR OVER 40 YEARS. WE HAVE NOT BEEN AROUND THIS LONG BY DOING BUSINESS THE WAY THE MEMBER SAYS WE DO. WE DO CUSTOM WORK SO EVERY NOW & AGAIN WE NEED TO TWEAK THE ORIGINAL JOB. THE MEMBER WAS A VERY PARTICULAR CUSTOMER & IT DID TAKE US SOME TIME TO DO THE REPAIRS BUT THE WORK IS NOW COMPLETE & THE CUSTOMER EXCEPTED THE WORK AND WAS PLEASED. I CAN NOT CONTROL THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TAKES TO GET FABRIC OR WHICH PRICE POINT MY CUSTOMER CHOOSES, YOU ARE EVEN ALLOWED TO SUPPLY YOUR OWN FABRIC. WE ONLY NEEDED MORE FABRIC BECAUSE OF PILLOWS THAT WERE ADDED ON. MY LABOR PRICE OF $235 IS STANDARD & IN THIS CASE WITH ALL THE EXTRA WORK AND TRAVEL WE NEEDED TO PLEASE THE CUSTOMER WE LOST MONEY AS WELL. IT IS OUR OBLIGATION TO SATISFY THE CUSTOMER SO I DON'T MIND THAT, BUT WE IN NO WAY ADDED CHARGES TO OUR CUSTOMER. THE MEMBER HAD A COMPLAINT & WE RECTIFIED IT. I GUESS WE WERE NOT AS EXPEDIENT AS SHE WOULD HAVE LIKED & FOR THAT I APOLOGIZE. ONCE AGAIN I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT WE DO TOP QUALITY WORK & DEAL WITH COMPANIES SUCH AS CALICO CORNERS AND HANCOCK AND JO ANNE FABRICS FOR A REASON. WE ALSO DO WORK FOR MANY LEADING DESIGNERS THROUGHOUT THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. THEIR ARE 2 SIDES TO EVERY STORY & I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THERE IS A SECOND SIDE TO THE "PROBLEMS" MY CUSTOMER HAD WITH THIS JOB. THE WORK IS NOW COMPLETE AS WE WOULD NEVER LEAVE A JOB UNFINISHED. THE MEMBER IS A NICE GIRL & I HOPE WE CAN DO BUSINESS AGAIN."

Measuring and fitting was done at my house. The slipcover was ready as promised in approximately 5 weeks. They came out to my house to deliver, and it looks great!

"Thanks you so much. I think that 99.5% of my customers feel like you do but they don't often take the time to praise me in a public forum. Thanks so much."
