No problems. Work was done in 4.5 days. Deck looks great, no surprises.

Had a fantastic experience with Charles Moelter and the two main workmen who were there every day. They arrived shortly after 8 each day, and stayed until 4:30-5, plus a few hours on Saturday. Charles was not present the entire time, but did not need to be since his workers were so skilled.The entire process from demolition to completed flooring, cabinets, lighting and painting took TWO WEEKS. This was the initial estimate, and having heard other kitchen remodel horror stories, I guessed it would probably take 4 weeks. It really did take two weeks! The workmen were so diligent - if they had any downtime waiting for supplies, they would assemble the IKEA cabinets (which come in about 800 different pieces). The workmen were great about asking me for clarification about issues that were unclear, and cleaned the worksite each day. They even made sure my overly curious cat stayed out of the worksite when I couldn't be there. I will definitely use this company again!

The wood floor looks great for the most part, but the hallway floor has the imprint of a permanent shoe print in the sealant in the hallway next to the kithen. This was pointed out and dismissed. The grout in the master bathroom was NEVER done correctly. There are whole missing areas in which the grout is missing. He continued to send the same person back to do the fill in and it NEVER was done correctly. At one point, Charlie stated he would come back and do the grout himself, but he NEVER did. The toilet was NOT seated correctly. Had to have the condo people to reseat the toilet. The molding around the base of the master bathroom vanity was NEVER replaced. Granite molding around bathroom sink broken into 2 pieces. Sealed but can see the crack. Tile around the shower chipped. Charlie stated that "no one would notice." There are large 2"x2" holes in the kitchen tiles that were never filled in after doors were put in place. Charlie stated he would have them filled in, but he never did. The molding around the kitchen cabinets at the top was never correctly replaced after the ceiling was painted. The door that opens to the washer/dryer area is made of cheap material that splintered soon after installed. No offer to replace. Painting around the walls in the living room "bled" into the ceiling. The same guy that continued to do the grout in the bathroom incorrectly, could never get the painting done correctly. Still a crooked line on the west wall. Asked to put up French doors to separate the hallway door to the bedroom. Put up a regular door. Stated sorry, did not understand that was what I wanted. No offer to change out.

We removed a load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room, and had an adjacent bathroom gutted out. The entire back half of the house was taken down to studs and sub-floor and rebuilt. The job started right on time and the workers were very respectful of the house and sealed off the work site. Charlie, the owner and contractor, worked off our architects plans but made suggestions along the way and was dead on with all of his ideas. He was very visible throughout the construction and was extremely responsive to all requests. We rarely if ever had to ask for something twice. The job took about 10 weeks from start to finish which was about a week and a half late, but the delay was due to a door and some cabinets being delayed. The end result was better than we had anticipated and looks like something out of a magazine. The workmanship was excellent. I have never worked with a better contractor than Charlie Moelter.
