Kolovitz Movers

They were pretty good; they were reasonable.  A piece was damaged slightly, nicked.  I had a bed frame.  I 'm not sure; when I bought a new mattress they said the old one was cracked and I don't know if they did it moving.  I just thought well, I don't weigh that much - why would a bed frame crack?  You know what I mean, I used it for a year - I didn't buy a new bed frame and it worked fine - just minor nicks on some wood furniture, but overall, everything went fine.  They put everything where I wanted it.  They were very helpful.

I was very stressed about the move. We were in our house for 37 years an we're not familiar with the process. 4 young men and 2 trucks showed up on time. They quickly assessed the job and immediately got to work. It was watching a ballet. Each man had a job and hardly took a brake. Bottom line is everything arrived in the same condition as it was when it left the house. The final bill was under the Initial quote before lunch and tip.

My daughter found them.  They were the cheapest and it was at the best rate.  They were good.  They were reasonable and they did it very quickly.  They were professional.  I was there but I did not pay for the services because it was for my daughter.  My daughter called them and I was there as the adult on site when it was done.

They took the lunch break and put it on the time they charged me for. I made them subtract that off. Then they play games is what they do, they never gave my legs back to my couch.

The men who helped with the move arrived promptly at 8am and were done a little after 5pm with an hourlong lunch break.  They were efficient and worked well as a team.  I would use this company again (but hopefully won't need to for a long time).  Everyone was fantastic to work with.

All of the guys were very professional.  We had nothing broken.  No scratches on wall or floors.  Nothing lost.

They called me back the same day and gave me good advice on how to make the move cost-effective for me.  They were available on the day I wanted and told me if I had to change I could do so whenever I liked as long as there was availability on the new choice.  (I ended up not needing to change.)   On the appointed day at exactly the predicted time, a huge truck and 4 cheerful, polite guys showed up.  They took everything I wanted them to take and were incredibly speedy.  And they didn't make a single mark on my
newly-painted walls, even taking a loveseat sofabed up some fairly narrow stairs.  I'd hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

The two movers arrived on time and immediately got to work.  It was our hope to have the move completed in two hours, and they delivered--both guys were friendly , courteous and hard-working.  They even disassembled our headboard and bed frame upon request when they finished 15 minutes ahead of schedule.  The only minor complaint we had is that we were still charged a $35 "truck" fee even though we were local and the truck was not needed for the short move across the street.  Otherwise, we were very satisfied and we would definitely use them again.

The price was not cheap. They charged the price that was the norm in the market. Everybody in the crew is strong as an elephant. They have a fabulous sense of humor. They play games with each other as to who can carry the most. They are always cracking jokes; they are really funny. I have used them four different times. They are very reliable and punctual. I used to live in a really big house. I had to move to a small house. They were able to move everything including the grand piano in just one day. I was really impressed with that. I had things moved from my summer home. I hired these guys to move much smaller amounts of furnishings and it was very affordable. It is really nice that they can do both big and small jobs. I will use them again in the future.

Because of a rushed closing, I was not able to contact a mover until the last minute.  I had used another mover in the past, but when I looked them up I saw that they had several recent F grades and tried Kolovitz instead.  I spoke with them on Monday afternoon and explained my rush predicament, they said that Friday and the weekend was booked, but that Wedensday was available.  I had to arrange for utilities, etc and I specifically asked him again about that date, he responded that it was "wide open".  I was able to get the utilities turned on in the house and arranged to take possesion two days early. When I called back to finalize the date the following day, I was told that they had nothing until the following month (about two weeks).  I asked about the conversation we had yesterday and Kevin told me that, there was a pending appointment on Wednesday and that the woman had called to confirm after we spoke the previous day and that there was nothing available. Very frustrating after spending all of that time to rearrange the move.  Maybe I should have locked it in yesterday and cancelled with them should things not have panned out, but after being told that the date was wide open, I did not give it another thought untill I called.

They are excellent.

I was very pleased with my move with Kolovitz. I highly endorse their company.

Keving was very easy to get a hold of and returned my call in a timely fashion. He gave me their pricing structure over the phone and also let me know about a additional charge for tape to wrap the blankets so I was not shocked by an additional charge. Kevin and his team where very meticulous in making sure everything was wrapped and ready to go. All the furniture and boxes were very heavy and they made sure to pack the truck so that there wasn't going to be any damage to any of the items. Everything was delivered undamaged. They took a short lunch break before delivering the furniture, and made sure to set the furniture where we wanted. We will use them again when we move back into our house after repairs.

They sent a crew of four people and moved the furniture and many of the heavy boxes. (We moved much of the smaller items beforehand to save on time and money.) They arrived at 8:00 a.m. and were completed by 2:00 p.m. The furniture was well protected and arrived undamaged, which was a difficult feat especially going up the tight corners. They also did not damage the hall as items went in and out. The only casualty was a plate, but that was due to my packing. This was the first time I used movers and if I use movers again, I would use them.

Everyone I dealt with was polite and professional. One item they moved was an armoire which they dubbed "the beast." This thing was heavy! I'm surprised they came back after moving it the first time, but they did and actually had a sense of humor about it. I would definitely use them again.

It went exactly as we expected. They moved everything without any problems and didn't break anything. They showed up on time and finished on time.

Everything was fine but feel there could have been more detail added to the quote.

KEVIN DIDN'T LOWBALL THE ESTIMATED TIME NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE MOVE LIKE OTHER MOVING COMPANIES DID. HE IS HONEST AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HOW LONG IT TAKES TO DO A MOVE.
