Irish Maid Service

I called Irish Maids and spoke with Adrian who confirmed it was a 3 hour minimum at $23.30 hour for the 1st 3 hours THEN $18 an hour but she never told me that the first 3 hours rate was higher than $18. I expressed my dissatisfaction about the misrepresentation but paid the invoice anyway. THEN: The housekeeper left the house but her car would not start. She came back to the house and in her broken English said she needed help jumping her car. I tried to jump her but was unsuccessful. I told her to call her employer to pick her up. The housekeeper indicated that the employee lived far away. I called the employer and told her the housekeeper needed help. Irish Maids stated that she did not really work for them, that she was an independent contractor. (Big red flag.) She also stated that she was at home which was far away and the housekeeper would have to fend for herself. She also said she was not even working at that time (even though her employee was.) I ended up taking this young woman home but because of our language barrier plugged her address into my GPS (which was brand new) and when I returned home I made 1 brief stop during which time my I-phone/GPS was stolen. (That of course wasn't the fault of Irish Maid Service but icing on the cake.) The company was not reputable or responsible for their business or employee. The young woman did a good job but I will not work with or hire through Irish Maid Service again. As I insisted that she needed to take responsibility for their employee and transportation problem Adrian stated "I don't want to talk to you anymore."

She did okay. She didn't do a good job on scrubbing my floors opposed to mopping them. She was unwilling to clean the floors the way I wanted them to be done. She did a good job every where else.

Did a thorough cleaning--got exactly what I was expecting. On-time--in fact, called to come early which was great for me!

Went very well. The cleaning lady did get lost and was therefore late, but she went right to work and did an excellent job. We asked her to clean because we were hosting a party the next day and she paid great attention to small details and made the house look amazing. Only downside was, she did not speak English very well.

Great, very satisfied. Someone actually answered the phone, and was able to promptly set up an on site estimate. Mike came out to check out the space and gave me a few options with different costs. Once I had made my decision to go with them, they came out to do the work within days of my call.

They are just wonderful. The people are friendly and personable and their work is consistent and reliable. They really take pride in the work that they do. I also like knowing that they are bonded should there ever be a problem.
