Heritage tile

Héritage makes subway tile, the type used in the early part of the 20th century in subways, but also in bathrooms. They are one of the few manufacturers of this type of authentic period tile. The product is excellent, so close to the originals that it is almost impossible to tell it apart. But the service is appalling. I was told that the tile I w ordering was always in stock (Avalon). It isn't. In the midddle of the remodel, when I needed more tile, One person said was available, no problem, but it wasn't. That was when they told me it would take four weeks. Minimum. These people are extremely unprofessional, they seem to have no idea of their inventory, and they tell you what they believe you want hear. Excellent product....lousy to non existent customer service. If you really want their product, force them to sit down with you, create an exact picture of the area to be tiled, and force them to calculate with you all of the types of tile needed. They will waffle, and tell you your contractor has to decide the amount, but force them to identify with you each individual type of piece needed. When the shipment comes, verify the content and review again that you have every needed piece before you start the job.
