They did great work. Some delays due to weather but Kevin kept us informed and and up to date on progress.

Kevin (owner) called me back within 1/2 hr when i called. He asked if he could look at my house through satellite and see what I was talking about, and call me back. 2 minutes later he called and said that they do complete concrete work. Not concrete repair. Plus they are not ADA trained to do ramps. Suggested that I call the Building department in Lombard. (great idea) I appreciated his information. Very nice man and if I need new concrete work I will call him.

These guys were great. From quoting, shingle selection, jobsite delivery, installation and cleanup they excelled in every degree. Very professional. Their installers were top notch.

Everything went great. Kevin Wood was punctual about meeting with me and looking at the property. His foreman also made a separate trip to inspect the job. Also right on time. I asked for plenty of warning when they were coming as I needed to save some parking spaces on the street for the trucks. He gave me a starting date six days ahead. The crew arrived that morning as promised. The job took four workdays over a five day period with a skipped day because of rain predictions. The crew was friendly and attentive to my questions and concerns. The retaining wall/curb had to be married to an existing small retaining wall that fronts my property. They matched it perfectly. One of the most important factors in giving my high ratings was the excellent job they did in creating the proper drainage for the whole pad and driveway. In fact, I delayed writing this until I saw how it drained after a good rain storm. I had no standing water anywhere. Very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Kevin and BaldEagle Construction.

After describing my projects Kevin asked if I wanted to go through the official process and obtain village permits or simply do the job without notifying the village. I informed him that we are selling the house and will need to do it the "right way". He suggested that he would be willing to do the bathroom job if I hire an architect to draw up the plans and get them approved (myself) by the village. I left the conversation telling Kevin that I will attempt and hire an architect before getting back to him again. According to the reviews this company seams to have glowing comments but I decided to look at other contractors who would be willing to pull permits.

After a three day rain delay on the week before Labor Day, 2016, Bald Eagle showed up on Thursday for a job that would take 3 -4 days. They assumed that it was okay to pour concrete on Saturday (holiday weekend). However, we were having company and needed access to the street and walkway. When this was explained to Kevin, he got irritated. The job was then stopped leaving us with a mess until the following week. At 6 months, we began to notice NUMEROUS stone pops. The pops occurred without the use of salt or melting compounds. When we contacted Bald Eagle, we were told, "Unfortunately, this is normal with concrete and there is nothing I could do." I'm now wondering why this was not mentioned at the time of the estimate. Very, very poor customer service as well as poor selection of concrete provider. Very unhappy with our $8,600 job.

After leaving a few messages about a potential job it took Bald Eagle 3 days to get back to me. I finally spoke to Kevin who said email pictures and they will see if they want the job. Unprofessional.

It went well because Kevin's crew was punctual and completed the work as promised. His crew was polite and answered all of my questions.

The contractor did not use smooth forms resulting in knot holes and uneven texture to the sides of the steps, that could not be smoothed as the forms were taken off too late after the cement had hardened. I left word for the Contractor to discuss the issue and did not receive a response. The Contractor applied a dark coating on the sides of the porch when I was not home. The dark coating was a different color than the steps and was splattered on the front of the steps and the threshold into my home. The dark coating cracked after the first heavy rain and has continued to crack since being applied. The workmanship was sloppy, substandard . Cement was also splattered in many areas on the house brick and driveway and was not cleaned off prior to it drying. The Contractor offered to apply another product to coat the sides of the porch and clean up the brick and threshold. The product is specified for horizontal applications, not vertical. I paid the contractor for a new porch and steps, not to repair a newly poured but then repaired set. The Village Inspector said it would be best to jackhammer it and replace it. The Contractor is not willing to do that and insists on repairing it. Furthermore, the newly poured porch is wider than the original porch that will create a problem with installing railings to current 4' height code. If placed to utilize the wider width of the porch the railing on one side would be in front of a window, or if moved inward will interfere with an awning bar.

I reached out to Bald Eagle Construction for chimney liner installation through their website. Kevin called within half an hour to let me know that the company only does exterior chimney repair which does not include chimney liner installation. Ok, so I struck out on that... but.. Kevin actually recommended a company that had installed a chimney liner for him in the past. I found that very helpful.

Excellent. Kevin is highly professional and his rate was very fair. His crew was phenomenal they showed up at 7 and worked non stop. They were consummate professionals. The work could not have gone smoother. I would absolutely hire Bald Eagle again and strongly recommend them

All went well-a quality job, timely completion, fair price.

No reply to emails, why be on here then?

Bad experience on a new concrete driveway installation. Wasn't explained to me that the new driveway elevation would not match the existing conditions. When I questioned this Kevin Wood was extremely rude and blamed me for the poor result, commenting that I had the chance to review the forms so it is my fault the driveway is poured too high. I don't know about you but I when I hire a professional I rely on them to be the expert and explain any change that will occur on site. Kevin did not come to supervise the day of the concrete pour.

Went smooth as silk but I knew it would. Have used Bald Eagle Construction in the past and have never been disappointed. Kevin is a delight to work with. He is very knowledgeable and always very patient with my never ending questions. When I am ready for my next project, I will be calling Bald Eagle Construction to do the job.

The estimate was $2,000 lower than everyone else, but they were by far the nicest and fastest. The other guy told me they could add a low step, but Bald Eagle knew right away that a low step would never pass the permit process. They handled all the permits, were kind to my kids who wanted to watch the cement mixer and left the job site clean. A quiet and respectful team.

They were prompt and extreme clean. I have very pleased with the work they did. They were cooperative with me.

I would recommend Bald Eagle for any concrete work. The owner, Kevin Wood is a stickler for details and you can depend on his word. He is very knowledgeable and performs quality work. We are completely satisfied with all aspects of the job.

Bald Eagle came right out for an estimate and explained what they would do in great detail and answered all my questions. I received an estimate a day or two later and after getting other estimates, I knew I would be hiring Bald Eagle Construction. Communication via phone and email was great and I always knew the next step and what I needed to provide. The work began promptly and I am very happy with the result. I will use Bald Eagle again in the future for construction projects.
