They did great. Katie ended up working off the clock for a little while toward the end to learn how to remove the legs from my specific TV model. She had a great attitude the whole time and I felt comfortable with her in my home for a couple hours. Won't hesitate to use this company again.

Superb job by David on repair on pocket door. No easy job as he had to take the door frame off to make repair. Besides the quality repair, what impressed us the most was his respect for our home. He prepped the area meticulously to keep the dust away from the rest of the house. He also took the extra effort to minimize the damage to the door frame.... nothing broke and he was able to put everything back together. Just a little painting that we did ourselves. This is not the first time I have had Andy Sjostrom's team in our home. Two years ago, they assisted with a bathroom remodel. Again, a wonderful job. I strongly recommend Andy and his team.

The crew at Andy Sjostrom Handyman Services, especially Andy, was fantastic. My husband and I had a dormer breaking up our shower, making it impossible for anyone over 5'9" to shower. We knew we wanted a quality remodel but were reticent to hire a full blown designer. We interviewed and received quotes from several groups (including contractors, designers, and handyman services) and felt the most comfortable with Andy. His proposal was the most innovative and creative use of the space and demonstrated a firm knowledge of older homes in our area. Instead of relying on the common "well, this is just an estimate until we open the walls," Andy was quick to provide an informed opinion with solid reasoning to justify his quote. During the remodel itself, we couldn't have been happier with the service provided. Living in an older Oak Park home, taking care of property was paramount. This was also a priority to Andy. Everything was protected in a thorough manner. Andy treated our home with respect and a level of care that was beyond our expectations. The work itself was thorough and precise, consulting us frequently for our advice or preferences on numerous things. Our remodel always felt like we were involved. Furthermore, Andy was incredibly helpful in advising us on design features, something that wasn't part of his job, yet he advised regardless. He helped us talk through stains and potential designs for our custom vanity, called our medicine cabinet producer for clarification, walked us through what is common in our area for bathroom accessories and never tried to upsell us. When trying to decide how luxurious to take our shower, Andy was practical and provided pros and cons of all options. Even Matt, a project manager for the group, sat with us when we were shopping for our shower system. Every person who came into our home for the project (including carpentry, tiling, and plumbing) was professional and polite, introducing themselves to us and showing us their progress daily. Andy has been especially communicative even after the project, from checking in to see how things are working to making small adjustments and even providing recommendations for other providers in the area who can help with smaller projects outside his scope. From start to finish, every person associated with Andy Sjostrom Handyman services made it a smooth remodel. Even though the company is identified as a handyman company, this truly is a full service construction group, who we would hire for any additional remodels and recommend to friends. We feel so fortunate to have worked with this amazing organization.

It didn't. I called Andy's number, got someone calling himself Matt, who said he would come out. Two days later, at 15 minutes past the appointed time, I called him. Upshot, he had forgotten the appointment. So he's wasted two days of my time and I'm back at square one. Don't know if "MattTheGoodHandyman" contracts to Sjostrum, who lists as 'TheGoodHandyman.com' or what, but I will never consider these guys again. I guess I just want people who exhibit professional competence and courtesy working on my property.

The job went very well. My call to Andy Sjostrom's office was promptly handled. I provided some pictures by email and they were able to give a rough estimate of the cost. A few days later, Katie arrived onetime and was very professional in assessing the problem. It turned out there was not any ongoing water damage so she was able to remove the water damaged floor panel and rebuild the underpinnings and put a new cabinet floor in 3 sections...which will be easy to remove should this problem ever reoccur in the future. We were very pleased with the work and will be using Andy Sjostsrom Inc. services again in the future.

Andy was prompt, worked through my list efficiently, explained some electrical oddities he found (we just moved in). Not the cheapest service around, but I definitely felt everything was done properly and won't need to be redone.

Andy and crew were timely and very professional. I was impressed by the quality of the work as well as the quality of the clean-up. They left the house better than they found it. After making multiple calls to various contractors, and having most not even return phone calls(including some on Angie's list) I called Andy and left a message. They got back to me quickly, and took the time to come out and look at the situation to get a better idea of work to be done. They arrived as scheduled, and got back to me with a price after looking for parts, etc. We then agreed to have the work done, and they scheduled and made arrangements with my tenant to have the work done at an agreeable time. They came and completed the work at the scheduled time. From my experience, this is a excellent and well run, professional company, whom I would highly recommend. They are busy and in high demand for a very good reason. Many thanks!

He was back within an hour, put in the longer screw and door worked perfectly! He was very helpful about some other questions we had on the door and side windows and did not charge us for this job, that had been driving us crazy. He was extremely knowledgeable, willing and able---and very nice. We would call him again in a heartbeat.
