True Remodeling Inc.

This work was for a bathroom remodel. The room is 5x8 in a condo highrise. At first I was happy about the estimate and the professionalism compared to other companies that agave me estimates. They were punctual when arriving for the estimate and appeared knowledgeable. I was promised that the work will be monitored, and I was happy about that, since I am new to home remodeling. The timeframe I was given was 7 to 10 days. Even before they started I accepted the fact that it will take longer from experiences I have seen, and I wasn't in a big hurry, and I was told that they have experience working with a condo association. Below are the details, but before I begin it has been over 70 days now and the work was not completed. 1. Miscommunication with the condo association; the toilet had to be replaced with an approved model. 2. A hole was put in a wall that went straight into my bedroom closet, because they didn't realize the wall was just plaster. 3. Because of point number 2 I could not get the double shower heads without making the bathroom smaller, because of the plumbing. So I settled for one and the price was reduced, which I was fine with. 4. The tile that was ordered wasn't enough so I had to wait for another shipment. 5. The second order was the wrong size, which I believe was the fault of the tile company, but I'm not sure. 6. Weeks of waiting due to all the tile ordering mishaps. 7. The manager stops returning phone calls. 8. The manager allegedly stops returning the workers' phone calls. 9. I start working with the workers directly, because the project manager abandons the project beacause he stopped communicating with everyone. 10. The manager only responds to OK that I can pay the workers directly. 11. The shower door that was ordered does not fit. Conclusion: a 7 to 10 day estimate has turned into over 2 months for a 5x8 bathroom, and I have to find another company to install a shoer door, setup plumbing for the vanity and finish grouting, and other touch ups. This is a nightmare I could never imagined.
