From start to finish this firm did great work. I have contacted many estate and auction sales professionals; this was one of a small few who returned the call at all! I called Susie on a Sunday as we had an impending sale date for my parent's home in a suburb of Chicago. Susie is at the Florida office, but gave the Ellen's cell phone (the local person to contact. Despite the fact that it was Sunday, Ellen called me back and rearranged her next week's schedule to accomplish a review of the household goods, the estate sale needs, and to meet with my brother (the local contact) the next day. The sale itself was well run and efficient. Ellen had her team go through the estate contents (which included a wide range of little old lady items, jewelry, dishes, household goods, and collectibles. They efficiently priced, marked, supervised, ran and sold many items in the first days. The final day, using Facebook ads and signs, they effectively cleared away many of our large items, including a car, slot machine, safe, piano, and organ, assuring that the remaining items were either the ones desired by the house buyer or would be cleared by the "sweep" team that completed all the home clearance. Ellen handled everything professionally. The contract was clear; she was able to the explain the processes from start to finish. The firm was bonded and insured. She handled all the cash and credit transactions, gave us an itemized account and a check within two days. The house security was handled well during and after the sale. She was delightful! She helped us with all the aspects of the sale which can be emotionally challenging, with great grace, humor and pragmatism. I would use her again in a heartbeat!!!!

:)I worked with Ellen- she was wonderful! They get 30% of whatever they make. Believe me- it was worth it. She made $7500 total. I would never had made that kind of money if I did this myself! We moved from a house to a townhouse and just left whatever we didn't want. We were even on vacation when she had the sale - she's completely trustworthy- you just give her the keys and she takes care of everything! When we came back- the house was totally empty. What a relief! If you're moving and have a lot of stuff to sell- believe me- this is worth the cost! I feel like I made over $5000 for doing nothing.
Description of Work: I moved & she sold everything left at the house.

She charged 30% of the total proceeds from the sale and certain items which she recommended be auctioned on eBay to be 35%. She had excellent advice and I think she and her helpers came in staged and priced things appropriately. She had a furniture guy she work's with who actually ended up purchasing all the furniture that didn't go the first day so that was wonderful. She had a charity in Juliette who she work's with to pick up unsold items that I wasn't going to keep and they came in the last day and were very quick and professional about what they did. Everything was excellent and there was no hidden cost. On Thursday she had dealers only out and she was very protective of things and she noted that some guy was trying to pull a theft and she told him to leave immediately so it was very good.
