OAK LAWN TRANSMISSION SVC

Do NOT use this establishment to work on your transmission.  I had my transmission rebuilt there in September of 2011.  Less than 18 months later, the transmission light was on again.  Since he worked on it last, I took it back there to diagnose the problem.  That's when I remembered the issues I had with him on the first visit.  He will not call you to give you the diagnosis.  You have to repeatedly call him to find out if he has determined the issue is and what the cost will be to fix it.  On this visit, I called for a week and a half before he even looked at it.  Then he said that he figured out that the issue was with the rebuilt transmission THAT HE DID!  When I brought this to his attention again, he said that he'd look into it.  Instead, he fixed it without giving me the choice on weather I wanted to pay the this repair.  The final time I called to find out the status of him "looking into it", he told me I could come pick it up.  He charged me for another rebuilt transmission.  I would NEVER recommend anyone use them and will never take another car there for a repair.  If I could give him zero stars, I would.
