They responded promptly to my request for a proposal. Their price was very reasonable. Upon my acceptance of their proposal, they scheduled the work within a week. They arrived at the scheduled time and completed all the work the same day including cleanup and removal of debris. Everyone I dealt with from the company was courteous and professional. I had several questions about the project before it started and Tom Flynn responded quickly to my calls.

Tom is the best in the business! He's prompt, responsive, and very thorough! He's been in the business a long time, and he has amazing results. I've seen other cement basement floors that has been 'abated' before that still look pretty rough, our cement floors look awesome! His crew is great and extremely hardworking! Tom and crew were great. Very responsive on the inquiry - first to schedule a showing, first to get a proposal back, and best of all cheapest significantly.
Both times Tom showed up on time and for the job, work was performed very efficiently. When they got in to work, they discovered some asbestos debris from an area where the insulation had been removed improperly and they removed it free of charge, which was very much appreciated. They arranged an independent test of air quality, which all checked out.
Tom was very helpful and made a few suggestions of things to look out for in the future - mold on some walls that was exposed when they were working. Appreciated the willingness to look beyond just the task at hand to do the job in the best way possible for the client. Very highly recommend.

Tom and a three-man crew showed up promptly, masked off the work area with plastic, and removed the tiles and mastic (glue). without a hitch. Before starting work, they showed me the preparation which looked excellent. The cost included the $200 Cook County permit and an air inspection afterwards by a third party. In addition, the price for the service was reasonable and much lower than a competing bid. I would recommend them without any hesitation.

Got the estimate (which was quite a bit lower than another estimate we'd received.) from Thomas via email from my description, which I estimated at about 29 ft. Once he and his team arrived, they discovered that there was about twice as much asbestos covered pipe than I'd found that was connected to the main pipe and ran under the dropped ceiling. Thomas was very understanding and agreed to do the extra work for a very reasonable extra amount. They worked quickly and efficiently using all proper precautions and brought in the tester immediately following their work to give us the verbal report that the air tested negative for asbestos. They forwarded the written report two days later. All in all the job went as smoothly as possible and I'd gladly hire them again.

After an attempt to install carpeting in my basement lead to the discovery of asbestos floor tiles I needed an asbestos removal company. After calling a few companies on Angie's list I called KEM. Obviously because I had already attempted to install my carpet I wanted to get this taken care of as quick as possible. Tom from KEM explained my options over the phone and provided me with a test lab to confirm the tiles were asbestos before I spent a lot of money to have them removed. The test came back positive for asbestos. After calling back Tom he mentioned they could come out that Saturday and complete the job. (I called on Wednesday). The crew showed up on Saturday with Tom right on schedule. It took them about 4-5 hours to complete the job. After the job was finished they had a third party company test the air quality to confirm the air quality was to the acceptable government mandated minimums which it did. I was very impressed with the response time as well as the quality of work. I have already recommended them to someone in my family who needs asbestos removal.

Tom Flynn and his crew were great. They showed up on time and completed the work in a professional manner over several days. They removed approximately 100 feet of asbestos pipe insulation in the basement and removed asbestos tile from the front & back porches and basement. In addition to the asbestos work, we had them do a full gut of the basement and treat with mold inhibitor. The asbestos work was ~ $3000 and the basement gut was about ~ $4000 which was competitive with other quotes we got.

These guys are top notch. They gave us the lowest quote of all the companies we called for asbestos removal. They were fast and professional, removing all the insulation safely, including the soffits surrounding the pipes (which we wanted gone) and leaving the place way cleaner than they found it. The price paid was exactly what was quoted. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking for asbestos removal.

We just bought a house that had asbestos and asbestos residue on pipes in the basement. KEM's price was very competitive and they were able to come out within a very reasonable timeline. They got to the house about 15 minutes before the appointed time, so they were ready to go after I arrived. The work took about 4.5 hours and they then had a separate testing crew come out. KEM did a great job with the removal and they cleaned up so well that the basement looked even better than when they started. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

It took two men a day to remove the asbestos. It took the better part of a day to remove the asbestos and they were punctual and cleaned up well after themselves. The nice thing was that I had some questions later and he called me back right away to answer those questions. I found them to be professional and knowledgeable. They even found more pipes with the asbestos insulation and also removed that on this particular visit.

Thomas returned my call quickly and I had to give him an linear foot estimate of how much asbestos I needed to remove. I called him back and told the amount and he provided his proposal quickly. My property is a typical Chicago bungalow and Thomas was very familiar with what needed to be done. Thomas and his crew showed up early and completed the work by lunch time. The air test company came same day and everything went very smoothly and efficiently. Will definitely use again!
