About us
We are problem solvers. Each of our clients present us with a unique problem. We design and suggest solutions. There are four constraints we work within: The Code, Budget, Aesthetics, and Schedule. The Electrical Code always comes first. The Code provides for your safety, and the safety of the people who come after you. You are our client, but so are the owners, tenants, customers, or tradespeople who show up after we leave. We conduct ourselves in such a way as to respect all those people. Budget, Schedule, and Aesthetics are constraints we prioritize together. If budget is the first priority we set reasonable expectations of what can be accomplished within that constraint. If schedule is the most important we agree on what that will cost and the aesthetics we can achieve. If aesthetics are the most important goal we want to be there alongside you, your architect or interior designer, and your general contractor to make sure we achieve that vision.

"Hi Giles, thanks for taking the time to comment. We were at your home for two hours between the two visits. On the first visit we were unable to replicate the problem you described and in going through and testing found that the most likely scenario was that the broken socket adapter you said you removed was the likely culprit. Several days later when the problem recurred we came out and began trouble shooting freshly. We were able to recreate the problem on this visit and began diagnosis. After opening up several boxes we located the next most likely problem in an electrical outlet showing signs of burning. We replaced the device at which point we were able to get the circuit to function without incident. I explained these issues to you, including on our first visit that troubleshooting an intermittent electrical issue is not something that is readily accomplished. We also made it clear that we charge $250.00 for the first hour of troubleshooting per visit and $175.00 per hour for each subsequent hour in that visit. Our pricing is transparent and you can find it on our website at 221electrical.com/pricing. We you expressed your concern about being charged too much we extended you the offer of paying for $190.00 on the second visit ($175.00 for the time plus the cost of materials). You accepted that with thanks. Later that evening you messaged us to say you felt cheated. Despite having solved your problem and having spent two hours at your home on two separate days we chose to refund you $190.00 to your credit card. I'm sorry if you continue to feel dissatisfied. I will follow up directly to make sure your refund was in fact received and resolve the issues with your receipts not being received. Best, Chris Brennan Owner & Supervising Electrician 221 Electric"
