Our roof is leaking and there are some issue's with the amount of slate that was replaced. He came out once to look at the leak and mentioned the slate was not attached the way it was supposed to and would send someone out to correct it, I think that was late October or early November.  It's not professional to get the check and then not follow up with your customers. He won't even return my calls and this has been going on since last Fall, I've probably called 10-15 times.  The work was fine and the workers were on time and professional while they were here, it has been the follow up.

This is whats happened since our conversation a week ago.  Jerry was supposed to call and make an appointment rectify the issues. Instead of that his foreman "Easy" and another worker showed up last week. They fixed the leaks as far as we can tell (no rain). When I asked "Easy" about the slate installation he said nothing.  When I asked him why artificial slate has been installed he said that is all that was available. When Jerry pitched the job he told us about all his sources that he had for replacement slate. We would like Jerry to put in natural slate that were promised to both my wife and myself.

They are awesome, top of the line. I would use them for any job. Great crew!

I hired this company because I had a roofing leak in 2007 and they repaired it. A different company had installed the roof, and they did not put flashing in where the room addition roof connects to the main house under an overhang. It was 3 years before it rained hard enough for that to become a problem. But as everyone knows, the last few years have been extremely rainy and I had water coming in terribly. I was unable to locate the company that had initially installed the roof. I had called around but Jerry's gave me a price within 2 days and then had it done within the next 5. This year (June 2010) I had a woodburning stove removed and Jerry's Roofing took down the chimney. Additional plywood, etc. was removed for stability and then everything was replaced. All is well and the price was good: $350.00

After struggling for 17 years with roofing related problems and leaks we contracted with Jerry’s Roofing to tear off and replace our existing roof shingles. At this point we had already paid several roofers to unsuccessfully fix the problems, including a partial tear off and replacement of part of the roof, and so called vent and flashing experts replacing cedar siding and reflashing other parts of the roof. During the bidding process Jerry was the only contractor that actually went up on our roof to assess the situation and measure the roof. This was an issue because the other contractors all bid more square footage then what was necessary. When Jerry’s crew tore off the roof they found multiple problems and code violation. They corrected the problems, replace 17 sheets of plywood, correctly installed roof vents, took off and replaces Cedar siding where flashing was a concern. Copper flashed the fireplace and replaced the gutters where the flashing was originally installed incorrectly allowing water to flow into the eves. He went into the roof craw space and pointed out that the bathroom vents were venting moist air into the attic causing a potential mold problem. He added 2 roof vents to properly vent the bathrooms. We added an additional power vent to the contract to cool down the attic on hot summer days. During the installation the crew supervisor became concerned over color variations in the shingles. They had the regional representative from GAF out the next morning. He checked the shingles and said he also was concerned. GAF picked up the cost to replace all work that had been done up to that point and had a new shipment of product delivered directly to our house. I believe that if I didn’t contract with a reputable roofer or took that low price from the 2 guys in the pickup truck I would have been stuck with the defective product. It has been a few rainy months since he completed the job and there have been no leaks or problems with the roof. It was our pleasure to finally work with a contractor that corrected all of our roof problems and delivered more then what we expected at his quoted and competitive price.

I have a 10 year warranty on the roof and they're failing to honor it. I've had several leaks and mold development within several months and they won't return any of my phone calls. The warranty still has 3 years left on it so at this point I wouldn't recommend them to anyone or use them again.
