ADT Security Services

I can say the sales people are excellent.  Very responsive, very good at providing needed information and setting up service.  My problem is with the actual service of the product.  This goes to the corporate level of ADT and in no way has anything to do with my local office.  The system itself has gone off for no reason twice in 6 months.  I happened to be home both times and was able to silence it.  One of those times, I could not get to the keypad fast enough, so I got a call from ADT.  They were unable to troubleshoot the problem.  Many times, I have to enter the code several times before the system will turn on or off.  Terrible quality product.  We are thinking of switching to Keyth which seems to have a better product.

My wife and I met with the sales representative, Stephen Bronson, twice.  We had a lengthy conversations.  After both conversations with Mr. Bronson my wife and I walked away with the impression that we would have a 6 month cancellation period in which if we were unhappy with the product, we would be refunded and the system uninstalled.  Once beyond that it would go to the remaining 3 years of the contract.  
After a few months my wife and I decided that we didn't need this system because the way it worked was not sufficient to alleviate our concerns.  The alarm takes 30 seconds to siren, and if you set it to 10 seconds or something like that you'd have to unlock your door in a frenzy to turn it off when you go grocery shopping.  So it seemed not sensible to us after all.  We called Stephen back to cancel, and he sad that we couldn't.  He said that we misunderstood the contract.  This shocked me because I made him meet with us twice before even signing the contract so everything was clear.  That was the end of it.  I was stuck with a contract I didn't want at approximately $42 per month for another 2.4 or so years and $700 worth of overpriced equipment (there are much much better bargains out there than this company).
I am not an forgiving, forgetful, or uneducated person.  This salesperson and this business did my family wrong, and I waited the entire contract;s length to cancel (did so a month ago).  I hope all consumers avoid this business in its entirety.

We have used them for about 2 years. They are consistent. The customer service is okay.

We have been using them for about 15 months. They are very prompt. They are very accurate. They are spot on with their timings. We haven’t really had any problems with the system at all. The installation was about $1,400. We still have them in the house.

I am happy with ADT. We had a different company that we were not happy with so, we switched over to ADT. We bought it about 4 months ago.

They came out to my home to install a security system. First, they installed it in the middle of my living room instead of by the front door where it should have been. When I told them I wanted it by the front door, they moved it, but left a big hole in my wall where it had been previously. When I asked them to fill the hole, they told me to hang a picture over it. Eventually they ended up sending me a check to have the hole repaired myself. 1 month after it was installed, the system failed. When I called them, they told me to unplug it and plug it back in. This is when I realized that they had messed up the socket and had tried to fix it with tape. He had also put the sensors on wrong around my home and 2 of them fell off.

That is a good service. They are accurate at calling if the alarm goes off for any reason and they do follow up calls to make sure everything is okay. We had a really bad weather storm and is took down my system. They came right out right away to fix it.

I am very pleased with their work.

They were amazing.  My husband grasped the system right away and they explained it well to me and had me set the system.  They were able to use some of the existing wiring.  They were very knowledgeable and were very clean and I would definitely have them back again and would definitely recommend them to others.

I have used them in the past and want to use people I know. They get the job done efficiently but their monthly monitoring is not cheap. They are very responsive and I will use them again in the future.

They are fine.  I would give them an A.

I cannot recommend ADT. Many years back there was a tornado in our area and my alarm went off and was disabled due to this tornado. For several months after that, ADT kept sending me a bill for the system even though it was not working. They were in the process of repairing the unit during this time but it was still not working while they were billing me.

I found a coupon in the paper. We needed to use a better company so we gave them a call. They were prompt on appointment time. I know they offer lower monthly service fees, but would not give that rate to me.

I can't really say much about them. The alarm went off a couple of times during the beginning, but not lately. I always wondered if they would come if I press the panic button, but luckily I haven't needed to so far.

I think that their product is fine but the repair people are not easy to deal with. If they have to repair something they charge ridiculous prices. They start clocking the second they arrive even if it takes them one hour to figure out what the problem is. But the system itself works great and if something happens they are very responsive and call right away. I don't know how much I pay for the service.

I am actually very happy to report that my experience with ADT has been extremely positive in nature. They are really good to me. I like the service I get from them and right now I have absolutely no complaints about them at all. They have been great to me.
