Did good job and fast

Do not purchase any luxury vinyl tile products with this company because they do not contract installers that understand how to properly install it. MY RECENT EXPERIENCE: I had just purchase a home with carpet in the kitchen. I met with a sales person who helped me select a luxury vinyl tile product they offer. Day1 the installers did not show up. Day2 they showed up, removed the carpet, then applied glue and started installing tile without the plywood subfloor that I was charged $700 for because they said didn't need it. OK. However, they had the wrong grout color and did not apply a proper 1/4" grout gap line as I requested. I called Empire, they stopped their work then told me I would get credited the $700 for no subfloor installment. On day3 they sent a second and different contracted installer to do it right but, they had to re-charge me the $700 for the plywood subfloor because the first contractor ruined the floor. Then the installer argued with me about a 1/4" grout line, saying it would crack (not true). They contacted their boss, who agreed with me that it would not crack and to go ahead and install it that way. But, the installer did not apply the grout properly level with the 1/8" vinyl tile, instead he made it paper thin and YES it cracked the next day when it dried. - The moral of this story is; DO NOT TRUST EMPIRE TODAY TO SEND COMPETENT INSTALLERS but, EXPECT THEM TO DO JUST THE OPPOSITE.

Installers did a thorough job. Consulted with me when they had questions. Worked past their normal hours to complete the project in one day.

Was pleased with the whole process

We moved furniture from room to room and the guys installing the carpet helped us. We had a total of $1,800 ft of rug and they did it all within just a few short hours all the while helping us move all the furniture.

Most projects are about finishing work. The installer did not properly miter the corners for the finishing molding and did not countersink the finishing nails. Very substandard finishing work.

Fast, efficient and respectful of property.

The installers did great work. They made sure all of the details were completed and we were happy with the job before they left the house. They wore masks the entire time and cleaned up everything before they left. They also moved and put back the furniture in the room they were working in. The only complaint I have is that their management only assigned two installer to the job that could have used three or even four. Empire promotes their one day service but that is not likely to happen with just two people handling this type of hard wood installation.

Carlos and his crew were wonderful. The floors came out great and they did a great job cleaning up after themselves

I was told by the sales person that this would be a 1 day maybe 1.5 day job. It was two days, the installer was 1 hour late each day and they rushed out before allowing me to do a walk thru. I was also told that we would be able to walk on the floor right away by the sales rep, but once the floor was installed, told to stay off of it for one day and they did replace all my furniture or hardware that was removed. The discrepancies between the install team and sales created timing issues with other contractors and left me without a bathroom for over two days. Not convenient or what I was sold. Disappointed in the communication and the workmanship. Perhaps not a reflection of Empire, but of the contractors they use to install.

the only problem was length of the job. A one day job, took 3 days to complete.

I am extremely happy I chose to go with Empire!! Awesome quality! Super friendly! Wonderful job all around! I had 2 floors done and I will definitely be calling back once I'm ready to do the rest of the floors!!! Thank you so much Empire!!!!!

This is the third contractor we have use from your site. And you one out of 3. We bought this floor for the specifics that we have cats. And sales man stressed that this was a pet friendly floor. The floor has been blistering in areas and areas we know that were not peed on. Empire sent there contractor/floor installer out. They feel its in house damage and my wife and i are responsible for the damage. We bought this floor understand an told it was pet friendly. This is the second strike using your site. Flooring/ laminate part was fine and ran smoothly. Showed up on the date planned. Carpet cancelled 2 times and tried to a third. The first excuse was I didn't have a garage. Second ( on same day excuse was they didn't have enough carpet anyway. And they had to leave. They had another appointment. One week later, they cancelled because , who knows. But cancelled. Third time they called an hour before and said they lost/ misplaced the carpet I ordered. Can they reschedule? No What? No. You're doing this job today. We will have to find other carpet. Yes. You will. And discount me appropriately. Hours later they arrived with totally different choices, but I wanted this over with, do instead of a beautiful tan, I am now stuck with a crappy grey. Customer service on phone and managers straight out lie to you and won't budge until you make it clear you will not back down and demand they refund and provide service contracted. Horrible phone customer service. Saul, Thomas and several others all lied, hung up on me and were awfully trained. Run from Empire.

High priced high quality product. Over Promised and miscommunication on deliver/ installation date significantly.

Work quality was fair to poor; however, the customer service was always polite and helpful and the workers were polite and respectful.

This company has too many people in charge and nobody knows what the other person is saying.

Empire and Luna are the same co. bidding against each other. ? Why.

there were a few spots of blue pad, that showed up when I installed the vinyl mop board.
