The Elfa system is wonderful yet pretty expensive. I had a 20% off coupon that helped. They also have an annual Elfa sale in January.

Pretty well. The design is a HUGE improvement over the one up-too-high shelf and the one long 1/2 in. pipe for hanging clothes. Instillation was easy, save for the prep work (that that was due to the condition of the plaster in the closet...older home, solid plaster and lathe walls). The only problem with instillation was that I had to purchase some different, heavy duty connector for the top track, one that didn't go as deeply into the wall, because I was hitting conduit using the predrilled hole on the top track. I called them for more info and help, and they basically said it would be fine without that one drywall anchor. The Skokie Ace Hardware had a better, $1 solution that ensured the systems safety. Also, the length of our top shelf was 88". Because, the birch pre-cut faces come in shorter lengths, it couldn't be in one, solid front. Overall, thought, we're happy with the shelving system.

The on line feature was great--I could run upstairs and measure/re-measure without going to the store and realizing I'd forgotten an important number. The form was easy to fill out. Within a very short time, the closet plan was drawn up. The person calling from their closet design staff was very helpful and made it clear which elements we could leave out or purchase separately without affecting the entire design. The cost estimates were enormously helpful with that part of our decision. We visited the store roughly 3 weeks later (and no phone calls in between to bug us about purchasing--thanks!) and we had the most helpful salesperson on the planet put together our purchases and discuss how we could cut costs a bit further. He made sure that we knew exactly how to install the system before we left, and even though a few pieces had to be ordered, he assured us they wouldn't affect the initial install. We love our closet, and since, Consumer Reports has listed CS as the best for closets.
