I don't think it could have gone better. From the initial consult to providing me information on the care of the pavers and the new plants it went well. I was having trouble deciding on the design, pavers etc. and they were so patient with me. Ultimately if followed their advice and it is beautiful. I get compliments on it all the time.

It was fine. I like the work itself. The only thing I have to say is they were suppose to get back to me with a quote but they never get back to me. I would recommend them to others.

"Dear (removed member name), It was nice to speak with you the other day regarding your concerns. I also had the chance to stop by and review the work we performed at your home in June. As per our conversation I was able to clarify your concern regarding the use of weed barrier products under the mulch as well as the quantity of mulch that was installed on the project. At the signing of the contract you had asked this very question and it was explained that when installing mulch we do not install any sort of weed barrier as it is not common practice and was not included in the pricing. As we discussed, had a phone call to the office been placed to us after the project was completed we would have been happy to come out to clarify your concerns and easily add a bit of mulch to the beds. Our conversation upon completion of the project and final payment was one of complete satisfaction. I also confirmed that our guarantee on the project is a full year so if there are any further concerns on anything we will be happy to take care of them in the spring of 2015. Your guarantee period goes until June of 2015."

Told me he would trim all trees, shrubs and that I needed to kill all the weeds. Poor chemistry is the best thing I can say. I wasted $59, and although that's not good, it was limited.

The result is really amazing. I waited the winter to do the review until now because we really wanted to see how the patio held up under the different temperatures. We couldn't be happier with the results. Shelly was really professional and came out and helped us 1) pick out what we wanted in stone (we had no idea of the options) and 2) sent us to a close location to review the different stone colors. As we had no idea what we wanted this was really important. He steered us to a really good stone (based on online reviews we have since looked at) and by allowing us to go and pick out the color ourselves we were able to get an idea of what the final product would look like. Shelly's team was here for several days and completed the work completely on schedule and as planned. I believe there was even an unplanned rain day that they were able to work around and meet the schedule.
After 6 months, 3 feet of snow and numerous snow storms it still looks great. We look forward to using it all summer long.

I contacted Shelly's by email in March and received a call from Gary to schedule an appointment for the next day. He was prompt, prepared and creative with his suggestions about how to reconfigure our steps and patio following an extensive kitchen remodel project which forced us to reconfigure the existing patio steps for access to the back yard from the house. Shelly's had installed the patio about 10 years ago and Gary informed me that the cap stones we used were no longer available. Gary took this into consideration and created a design that allowed us to re-use existing materials so the reconfigured steps and flower bed would match our existing hardscapes. This not only saved us money but it made the reworked patio and stairs look as if they had always been there. I received a written quote by email the next day. I had one follow up call with Gary and was told they would be here on May 8th to complete the work. Gary and his crew arrived promptly before 8am in the morning. The crew was prepared, skilled, courteous and very hard working. They took no breaks, a very short lunch and completed the work around 6pm. Throughout the day both owners showed up to check on the work progress and my satisfaction. When the crew finished the work on the patio the site was cleaned up to the point that you would not have known they were even there. The new step and patio looked like it had always been that way. I have been using Shelly's for 13 years now for a variety of landscape needs and I have never been disappointed. They use the highest quality materials, have courteous skilled crews and stand behind their work. I would highly recommend them!

Went well. Was what we expected. Price was significantly less than other estimates we received for the job. Shelly was very honest and informative and also very experienced. His crew came and did both jobs when they said they would. Shelly was there himself most of the time. They also provide monthly lawn maintenance for us.
