Terrible experience - Not keeping any of their promises! I dealt with Adam, the office manager: 1) Prior to the appointment - Scheduled weeks in advance b/c I had to travel to the condo (high-rise) in Chicago. Sent pictures and details about the problem at the same time to make sure they will be mostly prepared (pending any unknown issues that may arise during diagnostic of course). 2) On the day of the appointment - I called in the morning into the first 10 mins of the given time-frame for the arrival of the plumber and told him that I am in the unit. He said the plumber may be late b/c of traffic and he had to stop by the shop to get some supplies. Called again towards the end of the time frame given, but after hearing from my painter (who heard it thru the front desk attendee on his way in) that the plumber came and left. So, the plumber was never in the unit to look into the issue. He claims that he knocked on the door - BS as I was right behind the front door, in the living room, waiting for him. In the same time-frame, my painter came and knocked and I opened the door immediately. Never received a call from the office manager or the plumber that the plumber couldn't reach me (you would expect that they would call, right?) and was leaving the premises. So, I called again - Adam started talking about all kinds of excuses that didn't make any sense - e.g., that they needed 2 plumbers for this kind of issue (really? you just figured it out now w/o even diagnosing the issue - your plumber never saw the problem), that he had issues with parking - really - no parking problems around the problem during daytime? That he will come back with a plan for the near future... 3) Post-disaster appointment: I had to call and follow-up few times - he never got back to me. 1st excuse was that he had to talk to his guy first to come up with a plan, never called back. Next time - His plumber is injured now and will take potentially few months for the next opening. I never even got to the point for them to look at my problem... no communication and no commitment - terrible! I wasted a lot of time in travel with no results and more headache.

There was a small issue with a broken part upon opening the faucet packaging. They immediately identified the issue, came up with a temporary solution while we waited on the part from the manufacturer, and then installed it immediately upon arrival. They've been great! They're very professional and clean.

They are professional, honest, and open to finding solutions that are less expensive. While our latest project was just a leaky sink, we have used them for a sump pump replacement and several other things in the last 18 months after purchasing a new home.

We have been using them for about 10 years now. They are very professional and highly knowledgeable in their field. The pricing is reasonable for the quality of service. I would highly recommend  this company to others.

A screw that held my kitchen faucet together broke off in the assembly, meaning I had to replace a part and the sink was unusable.  I wanted the sink fixed asap. I called a different plumber who could not come out for several days.  A friend of mine recommended Santucci, who she had used based on the referral from another friend, and since I like to check reviews and there were few on Angie's List, I looked at Yelp and noted it had solid reviews from there as well.  Santucci was able to schedule time for the next day.  The repair was somewhat finicky--too hard for me to do despite having bought the part online--because it was at a difficult angle close to the wall.  Darryl was able to fix it smoothly.   I then asked him to look in my sump pump closet to provide an estimate for an issue I had where my sump pump was improperly draining to the landscape.  At the time, I did not understand the difference between a sanitary sewer and a storm drain, whether the sump had ever been connected correctly in this house, or how it was supposed to be done.  In fact, the Village of Northbrook required it to discharge to the storm drain but the only outlet in my sump closet would have been to the sanitary sewer.  I asked Daryl how it was supposed to be done and whether it was supposed to connect to the sanitary sewer.  He seemed unsure and said he would have to talk to his boss, who would provide a quote.  A full week later, I had not heard back (though it was around the 7/4 holiday and his boss may have been on vacation), started getting other estimates, and made plans to use a different contractor to connect to the sanitary sewer, which would have been illegal.  Thankfully, a different person from Santucci called albeit on the 7th business day after Daryl had been out, and told me I could not connect a sump pump to the sanitary sewer.  I then asked what I needed to do and for an estimate to do it right, and Tony Santucci was patient in giving me an understanding of the issues when I was asking for information that was probably quite basic to him.  I also talked to the Village of Northbrook department of public works, who said Santucci would do good work if I used them but also gave me some other names for estimates. I did not hear back for 7-10 business days regarding an estimate for performing the sump work correctly, by which time I had various other estimates.  The owner of Santucci then made time to come by, though I did not get his estimate for 2 more business days.  The estimate came in quite high, so I did not use Santucci for the sump work, but at the same time, he provided an estimate for replacing my back-up sump pump within the sump pit (one of several I have gotten), and that estimate seemed very reasonable and like something I will go forward with.  Bottom line, I would and plan to use Santucci again for typical domestic plumbing issues in the Northbrook area.  They did a good job. were reliable, albeit slow in getting back to me on the complex issue, and appear to have many satisfied customers beyond those shown on Angie's List.  I would not use them for a residential project that requires complex troubleshooting or outside digging, because the estimating process was so drawn out and because the quote was so much higher than Layla Construction, which did the ultimate outside digging work.

I was referred to Santucci from a colleague and hired them to investigate and remedy a strange odor that tenants at a 3 unit apartment building had been complaining about.  Our first step was to clean out a catch basin in the back of the building and then Santucci cleaned out the input and output lines that go into the catch basin.  After that didn't solve the problem, they opened up the bathroom wall in the basement apartment and performed several tests to identify exactly where the break in the line occurred (including a camera test to identify the precise area).   The remedy involved having to remove some kitchen cabinetry and flooring in order to access the pipe below the building.  Santucci was able to sub-contract a carpenter to assist with the cabinetry and also a drywall guy to assist with the drywall repairs.  I was thrilled with the service that I received from Santucci.  They were very on top of things throughout the whole process.

they went above and beyond when my water valve developed an unexpected leak due to age. The owner himself came out to stem the flooding emergency that developed. I would hire them again for anything plumbing related.

I think overall, they did a pretty good job. They were very polite and hard working. I did feel that they were a little pricey considering it didn't take long to complete the job but they got everything unstopped.

VERY UNRESPONSIVE, REPEATEDLY CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS. THEY LEFT THE JOB HALF DONE FOR MONTHS, AND DIDN''T SEEM TO CARE THAT THEY WEREN''T GETTING PAID. IF YOU WANT SPEED AND CUSTOMER SERVICE, THIS IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE.
