The plumber that came out, Johnny, was very professional and we felt comfortable with him in our home, during this pandemic. He did the work we needed and explained everything he was doing to us. Price ended up higher than the initial quote of $420.00 due to additional work. Senior discount applied. Price in the high side. On the other hand, we got the bathroom working again.

Did not use. Ridiculously high prices and not a free estimate. They called quickly after I completed the Angie's List form. I had to press them to get a rough estimate on the phone and was told maybe $300 with the caveat that they needed to see the work. (this was a simple rodding of sewer line.) At the house, they offered me 3 ridiculous plans ranging from $630 to $1780 and then charged me $39 for the cost of sending someone to give me high bids. The $1780 bid with 5 year guarantee covered 1 1/2 hours work and $1080 an hour thereafter. I called a reputable plumber I used in the past. He asked me a few questions and gave me an estimate over the phone. Work was done at a third of Reliance's lowest estimate, with no ridiculous up-sell, and the guarantee was for a year, not Reliance's one month.

It was a non standard setup and he took care of it well.

The main reason we will stop using Reliance’s services: we were promised boiler drains that we never got. Boiler drains do not need washers which is why we wanted them. The job took four days. July 6th we wasted a whole day waiting for service. We called Reliance immediately because we have used their plumbing services for years. We were very disappointed with their service. A plumber was scheduled to come and install two cut offs and replace faucet washers. This plumber promised us two premium quarter turn boiler drains for hot and cold water feeds (we never did get these boiler drains). He recommended replacing the faucet. The plumber did not have all the parts, so we scheduled him to come back July 5th. July 5th the plumber we had spoken to called in sick. Another plumber was assigned to the work. This plumber did not seem to know what the previous plumber had estimated for the job. We showed the new plumber the work order. He went to work. After he had changed the faucets and installed the cut offs, we asked about the quarter turn boiler drains. He said they could not find the parts locally and we did not need them anyway. He recommended replacing the old cement tub. The drain could no longer be hooked up to the old tub. We sheduled him to come back July 6th. We requested the boiler drains again. July 6th. The plumber was scheduled to come between noon and 2:00 pm. The office manager called to say that the plumber could not get there until 2:00-4:00pm. We understand that sometimes rescheduling happens. However, around 4:15 the office manager called again. He wanted to reschedule for Monday. We had been waiting all day and this was the third day. We wanted a plumber to come. The office manager said OK he would send someone. The plumber who was supposed to come called us and said it was too late to come. Could we schedule for Monday. We almost called another plumbing company at this point. We scheduled for early Monday morning. Monday July 9th The plumber came early Monday morning on time. He did not bring the boiler drains. This time he said the boiler drains were to unusual to install and we didnt need them. He redid some of the copper piping because he was installing a new tub. The copper piping has some unusual twists because the new tub was a different size from the concert tub. The plumbing job was professionally done, but it took four days. We paid for broiler drains we never got.

They did a good job.

They performed the job with courtesy. They forgot to haul away the old pump but came out soon after and picked it up and hauled it away. They also fixed a leak from our top floor through the ceiling. They were able to diagnose the problem and repair the problem.

My basement shower drainage was totally blocked. Called the Reliance plumbing, Joe Schutz come the next day. Joe did an excellent job, solve the problem, clean the work place., very professional. I am happy with the work they did for me.

It was 10am during the week between Christmas and New Years day. My main water valve inside the house was stuck in the off position so I had no water for toilets, sinks.... Chris from the company made it out to my house in advance of the Noon appointment and worked with the village (the village has to turn on\off the water from outside to my house) to get the repair completed within 2.5 hours, which was amazing. The price charged I thought was very fair given that I needed emergency service during the holiday season when availability of service is constrained. I would definitely hire this company again and could not have been happier with my experience.

Work was done correctly and as promised. Other companies wanted to excavate and over charging. John from Reliance came out and gave me an honest opinion and was able to save thousands. I would highly recommend them.

John arrived a bit earlier than scheduled, assessed the situation with the leak we had and determined it was the faucet itself that needed to be replaced. The old kitchen faucet was corroded and after a few minutes of trying to remove it, he simply cut it off. He installed the faucet we purchased and we're very happy now. Also was pleased John was assigned our job. He's a pleasant fellow and had done some work on our home before - he even remembered the job and the day (plugged-up bathtub the day after Christmas).

It took a few days longer to complete the installation because a special part had to be ordered. The plumbers did a nice job of figuring out a temporary work-around so that we did not have to go for three days without hot water. They are friendly, courteous, professional and left the utility room cleaner than they found it. Just like the Boy Scouts.
