M&E Construction & Renovation

M&E Construction (general contractor and owner Marc) was horrible in every way from the very start. EVERY step of the project was screwed up by either Marc or his subcontractors. There is not enough room in this text box to describe the multitude of problems I had. The cost was exorbitant for what they did, the errors started from the very beginning with the ARCHITECT, deadlines were not met and extended way past the time I was told it would be done, to name just a few of the problems. I could go on and on and on. My next grievance is with Angi's List. Don't you vet these people? This guy is a con artist and a scammer/grifter. I would appreciate a call from someone in management (not just a customer service rep) to discuss the nightmare this project has been. The only reason I gave a 1-star rating is because I couldn't leave no stars or actually negative stars. I am HUGELY disappointed in Angi's List for doing business with this man.

I recently had a concrete driveways project done by M&E Construction..the process was smooth..I'm so happy with how everything turned out! Marc listened carefully to what I wanted, asked thoughtful questions, and really took the time to understand my vision - Marc wasn't just trying to sell me something..he was genuinely interested in helping me achieve the best possible outcome. I am genuinely happy with the outcome of my concrete project. It has exceeded my expectations in every way!!

Marc and his team at M&E Construction and Renovation were incredibly professional and reliable. They completed two complete bathroom remodels (master and guest bathrooms in a single-family home in Chicago) in a timely and efficient manner. They were extremely communicative, friendly, and honest throughout the entire process, addressing all of our questions and concerns immediately. Overall very smooth experience and both bathrooms turned out fantastic! Would highly recommend Marc and his excellent team (Arsen, Andrew, etc.) and would gladly work with them again! Big thank you to Marc and team for a job very well done!

Marc was great as far as communication, responsiveness, and making suggestions. Mike, who was the one who worked on the renovations, did a great job on our cabinets, repairing numerous holes in our dry wall, painting, installing lights and appliances, and generally making sure we got what we wanted! Highly recommend!

We were so grateful to get to work with a responsive professional who did excellent work with complete responsibility and investment in the job. When the time is right for us again, we will certainly reach out to Marc for future projects.

Working with MandE was a fantastic experience from start to finish! There was full transparency in the timeline and quote with regular updates as we went along. Marc even took over an hour to walk through the quote with us line by line. They stuck to their timeline and budget and the quality of the work was excellent. Marc is a proactive communicator, so respectful, and was quick to respond anytime I reached out. Weve heard that home renovations can be a headache, but it couldnt have gone smoother working with MandE. The next time my home needs work, they will be the first call I make.

Marc has done a great job remodeling bathrooms. He took care of permit, plumbing and electrical for main floor shower built in limited space for my elderly mom. I will definitely hire him for next project.

Marc is very easy to work with. He was quick to respond and had great ideas. Most importantly, aside from the unforeseen issue with my house, the project stayed within my budget. Lastly, his workmen are very friendly and efficient. They finished the work on time. May have even been earlier if not for some supply issues. All in all, great experience. I highly recommend.

The owner Marc and his team at M&E were amazing. Beautiful work, attention to detail and outstanding customer service. I never thought hiring a contractor would work out so well. On budget, on time and super helpful in every way. Besides two bathrooms, they also did our kitchen in 2022. All our friends tell us they're jealous of our beautiful home now! Guess they should have hired M&E like we did.
