LAYLA UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION

The company president, Tom Bussjanger, gave me a fixed price estimate by email the same day as I contacted him.  My contact person at the department of public works in the Village of Northbrook specifically told me that Layla was honest and reliable--it was on a list they provided when I was going back and forth with them about what needed to be done.  When I got a different estimate from a plumber that offered to do work on an hourly rate basis, I asked Tom if he would work on an hourly rate basis up to 8 hours, and then cap the cost to me at the fixed price he had proposed.  He agreed.  He made time for his worker to come out the following week. The worker was at my home at 7 a.m. as  I had been told.   They had some kind of special tool for outside digging my clay soil that looked like a circular saw and was extremely efficient--far, far better than hand-digging, because another plumber had hand dug a broken sanitary sewer line a few years ago and took 3 days to make the same sized hole that Layla's worker did in a few hours.  They were done, inspected, and had filled in the hole by 2:15 the same day.  The bill was lower than I expected even given our agreement to work hourly--apparently I was not charged for travel time to get gravel.  I am very happy and would definitely recommend you call Layla on the top of my list if I have another sewer/storm drain issue that requires outside digging.

I WAS VERY PLEASED TO FIND SOMEONE WHO DID HIS JOB WITHOUT CAUSING ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS. THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE SANITARY SEWER FROM THE HOUSE TO THE CLEAN OUT.
