They are not a company that does weekly mowing but if they put in something for you they will come back and make sure all is well with it.  They put in a brick-paved front walk.  Chipmunks got under it and they came back at no charge and re-leveled it and made it look beautiful again.  They have planted a couple trees for me which have thrived.  They do a really good job.

I was happy with the service and the suggestions that they offered.  I bought a lot of perennials at the Botanic Garden annual sale and needed someone at short notice (before they all died!) at the height of the spring planting season.  Glenbrook was recommended by a staff member at Red's Garden Center in Northbrook who was friends with the owner of Glenbrook.  Because I had bought most of the plants and because of the time limitations and budget, Glenbrook didn't have much of an opportunity to do much design work, but I'm still happy with the result.  If they were a bit more familiar with the perennials I had purchased, they might have done a somewhat better job of placing them, but all of the plants are thriving, so they didn't make any major errors and they were definitely constrained by my own plant choices which probably weren't the best from a design standpoint anyway.  The company was responsive to my first call (when several other companies said "no way"), showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves.  The owner followed up after the work was done which was a much-appreciated touch.  He also made suggestions about adding a cover for my window well and more soil near my foundation to improve drainage away from the house and protect the foundation.  These ideas were beyond the scope of the project, but I really appreciated the advice and I think his offering them demonstrated that he was observant and generous in sharing his knowledge.  It was a very good experience all-around.  I can't really comment on the price because I didn't get competitive bids and don't have much familiarity with the prevailing market.

The owner is usually on sight and very people friendly. He is always responsive to our needs. They are easy to communicate with. They are nice and fair people.

THESE FOLKS ARE GREAT! WAYNE STAUFFER IS HONEST, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY SKILLED AT HIS JOB. WE WOULDN'T EVEN CONSIDER HIRING ANYONE ELSE.
