First Class Moving & Storage

The best movers, very accommodating and easy to work with. We had to make 3 moves within two years and they gave us the same crew who knew where everything went in the house(s). Everything came out of storage as we left it. They packed boxes for us and not one glass broke. If you are looking for the highest level of service at a fair price, this is your team. Would only use First Class if we ever move again.

They allowed me to do some of my own packing using used boxes I could pick-up at their office, which saved lots of $$. They are on-time, careful and kind. I was then able to drop-off the new and used boxes at their office to pay this forward. Remember you pay for driving time, so pick a mover who's location makes sense. I would certainly use them again.

First Class Moving and Storage certainly lives up to its name. We used them for two moves in one week, one local and one interstate. The office was responsive and kept in touch prior to the move. The team that arrived on moving day was on time, the packers and movers were pleasant and positive and highly responsive to every request. Because it was a rainy day, First Class doubled the size of the packing and moving team. They clearly work well together and were very positive and polite to each other as well as to me. I can't recommend them enough. We did not have a single issue, with either move. We felt so lucky to have chosen First Class for our double move.

First Class was absolutely fantastic. They packed and moved our three bedroom condo to a single family over a two-day period. They were punctual, polite, and expeditious. It was a very good experience. We highly recommend them.

From start to finish, it couldn't have gone better. The moving team from First Class showed up right on time. They were respectful, personable and incredibly careful and efficient. They had the place packed up in no time. There were multiple stops to disperse furniture (to Goodwill, etc) which was no problem. The guys went above and beyond the call of duty in ways large and small for us and we were so grateful. Would use them again in a heartbeat!

Excellent. Packed a 3 bedroom, 2 insuite bathrooms in a day. I have large and intricate furnishings. Arrived on time. Packed all items. Not certain if will unpack and take boxes and packing filler with them. Professional and very accommodating when need to remove items from storage. There is a slight cost. Competitive long term storage costs. Would definitely hire again!

Both teams Esteban's and Andy's crews arrived on the dot and went to work. They were obviously quite well trained and created a method for keeping each house out of the elements even though it snowed the day prior to the move. Both teams finished quickly without breaking anything and were respectful of our belongings and our neighbors. Both teams finished faster than the estimate.

Everyone did an excellent and professional job. The estimator, the scheduler, the movers—all were terrific. They confirmed everything with me in advance. On moving day they were on time, worked efficiently and were very careful with my furnishings. It was a very good experience.

Team arrived on Sunday to pack belongings nor previously packed by me. Excellent workers, very efficient, inspired a lot of confidence in me. Arrived early on Monday morning to load my belongings onto their truck.. Again, they were very efficient; everyone knew what they were doing. It was clear that everyone was very well trained. They worked extremely well as a team. Two very important things to me: 1. The estimator suggested that they purchase City of Chicago No Parking permits so that their truck had a place to park at both at my home and at my condo. I did not know that this could be done. I agreed and this eliminated a worry about parking at both places. It was an excellent suggestion. First Class took care of these arrangements. The cost of the permits was added to my bill - a minimal cost and well worth it. 2. I moved to a condo with very specific rules and time frame for moving. I explained this to both the estimator and the lead on the moving team. They understood and enabled me to follow every rule. The estimate was within $200. of the final cost. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

I was honestly blown away. By a moving company!!!! Amazing from start to finish and came in BELOW their estimate (largely because I did some light packing and moving stuff on my own in the interim). Everything arrived in perfect shape and they cleaned up after themselves at both spots. Absolute highest recommendation!

We’ve used many moving/storage companies in the past. First Class Moving & Storage was the best. From the initial customer service set up/scheduling, to the actual move, everything went smoothly and very efficiently. They arrived on time. The movers were professional, friendly and very helpful and flexible. They worked with my husband and I the entire time to ensure everything went where it was supposed to go. Nothing was damaged and there weren’t any hitches involved. I highly recommend them. A+

Everything from the quote process to the final delivery went smoothly and as expected. Great job! I shopped about 5 moving companies. All were in the same range once you compared their rates and made them apples-to-apples. I went with First Class because of their high rating on Angie's List and Yelp. Take my advice, pay more attention to the reputation than the quotes.

We used First Class Moving & Storage for a recent move. The company was great to work with. From the initial pleasantness from the first time I called them to the actual move everyone was friendly and responsive. Their quote was reasonable and in fact they actually came in under the quoted amount for the move. The movers were great. They were careful with everything and were very thorough in their wrapping of the furniture items. We haven't noticed a single item having any damage at all. They were fantastic and we would definitely hire them again.

Terrible customer service; ignored emails ; BEFORE booking move!... First Class Moving and Storage not so "First Class"! Donny N., our "consultant", came over and gave a quote on Mar 7. After that I sent a couple emails with questions and got no response from him. I called the front desk and got answers to some of my questions. (Had the front desk people mentioned he was away, or sick, etc, I would understand, but they didn't). As time neared getting ready to book the move, I sent him another email and mentioned I don't know why the previous ones from last week weren't responded to, but I have a few other questions before booking the move with them. There was also no response to this email. If they ignore emails BEFORE you book a move, imagine the support after if you have an issue! I finally received an email from Donny that said simply they are unable to conduct our move and he's sorry? Extremely unprofessional to ignore a potential customer's emails then say they can't conduct the move. No reason was ever given. The Emails had questions such as asking if there is a contract required, can items be stored and cost, etc. Nothing unusual. Stay away!

First Class's price was the best and the service was superb. They arrived on time, were very careful with everything (stairs were navigated with no bumps or scrapes on any wall) and completed the job in less time than expected. I would recommend them highly.

The company had their men pack my house on Sunday and move me on Monday. Everything went perfectly. The company arranged for No Parking signs from the City of Chicago - that was a huge help both for loading and unloading. There was a charge by the city, of course, but it was an excellent suggestion on the part of the company. Every piece of furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets and then in plastic wrap. Every item in a box was also carefully wrapped and clearly labeled for the correct room. While I have not unpacked every box, so far not one item was broken. The men were very careful of the walls and woodwork both in the house I was selling and in the condo that I moved into. I appreciated that. In addition, I found their workers to be extremely caring. When I expressed anxiety over something, the lead crew member, Dario, told me that "First Class was going to take care of me." And they did. I got three estimates for this move. All three estimates were within $250. With First Class, I was able to pay for the completed move with a credit card. One company from whom I got an estimate would not let me pay by credit card - only cash or a money order. That was a deal breaker for me. How could I get a money order on a Sunday when we would better know the real cost of the move? All moving is an estimate. I did a lot of packing and even some moving on my own. My final cost was very close to the original estimate.
