My daughter needed to use the piano for a project at school, and I needed a fast last-minute tuning job. My usual person takes three weeks to work his way around to my neighborhood, as he is very popular and gets jobs all over Chicagoland. I turned to Angie's List and found someone who could do it THE SAME DAY. This is a miracle! The tuning job went well; unfortunately, within a week the F below low C went out of tune again.

I have had Bruce Dornfeld tune and repair my piano for more years than I remember. I am an active player, so this is very important to me. Bruce has provided excellent quality service and is also a very nice person to deal with.

Excellent job, as usual. We have had Bruce Dornfeld tuning our piano for two years now, and he always shows up on time, well dressed, and ready for work. The piano sounds awesome when he leaves, and the price is right! We would recommend him to anyone who needs work on their piano, from tuning to adjusting the action of the keys to a total overhaul.

Mr. Dornfeld answered my first call. He sounded busy. I identified myself, and told him why I was calling. I told him I was not in a rush to have this work done, but wanted to make an appointment. He took my number, and said he would call back, but he never did. I called again about 4 days later and again, I reached Mr. Dornfeld directly. The connection was very poor. Mr. Dornfeld asked me to call him "later." I asked him to be more specific, and he said "this evening." I chose not to call back. Considering that I have used Mr. Dornfeld's services in the past, I was taken aback by his unprofessional and discourteous demeanor. It appears that my business is neither valued nor needed. Fortunately, there are other good tuners out there.

MR. DORNFELD ALSO ACCOMMODATED MY REQUEST FOR AN APPOINTMENT TIME THAT WAS MORE CONVENIENT FOR ME, BUT LESS CONVENIENT FOR HIM. I REALLY APPRECIATED THAT!

BRUCE HAS TUNED MY PIANO SEVERAL TIMES, AND IT STAYS IN TUNE FOR WELL OVER A YEAR AT A TIME. MY PARENTS HAVE TWO PIANOS WHICH HE TUNES REGULARLY. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED WITH HIS SERVICE. HE IS KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF THE CARE OF YOUR PIANO, AND CAN MAKE SUGGESTIONS ABOUT SUCH THINGS AS HUMIDITY MANAGEMENT, PIANO REBUILDING, ETC. VERY TRUSTWORTHY GUY.

IVE USED BRUCE FOR A FEW YEARS NOW, AND HE IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND DOES A TERRIFIC JOB. HE TUNES THE PIANOS IN THE SCHOOL I WORK IN AS WELL.
