I had Azrikam Heating (Azrikam The Price Is Right Heating) out today replace a part on my hot water tank and to take a look at my HVAC. 1) I am a new customer and even with other calls Bernard still came out to service my home 2) there is no bs. Any other person would tell you replace a unit when a part goes bad and the unit is 10 yrs old but no. Bernard looked at my system (paired water tanks), took pics for future reference, replaced the part and let me know that there is plenty of life left with both units. 3) Bernard is just a down to earth good person looking to give good services and guidance in his area of expertise. Put this company on your speed dial for home maintenance and repairs today.

I had a problem where the air handler just wouldn’t cycle off unless I turned off the power to my 25 year old furnace. I had a well known local heating company come out and their service tech diagnosed the problem as a bad induction motor. I was quoted over $1000 to replace it. Mind you, this is a fairly small motor (about the size of maybe three tuna cans stacked together), and easily accessible. Thank God I called Azrikam for a second opinion. Fortunately he had just finished a job in the area, and came right away. Nothing wrong with the motor. Basically he made an adjustment inside the thermostat (I had just moved it and must have bumped the setting), and it’s been fine ever since. He explained everything very throughly and took the time to respond to some followup texts fairly late on a Friday evening. I liked the fact that he didn’t try to just talk me into a new furnace like the first company did. I also appreciate that his phone number (847-409-8699) put me directly in contact with him. So nice not to have to go through a receptionist who just takes a message and maybe somebody will call back. Moreover, I appreciate that he strongly recommended a second carbon monoxide detector in light of the fact that the furnace is quite old. That said, it is of the style (standard 80% efficiency) that has a longer lifespan than the new high-efficiency furnaces. So who knows when I’ll have to replace it. But not today, thanks to Azrikam. And when that time comes, he’ll definitely be my go-to guy.

So I called and I was happy they could get someone here the same day. My issue was fixed within couple of hours. Bernard was very professional and detailed. amazing- don’t look any further!! this is THE GUY TO CALL! he had our 30+ year old furnace fixed and SAFE back up in less than a few hours. I said I didn't have heat, he was there in 15 minutes! Bernard is more than reasonable in price- and it was fixed. I have also a condo and called the other day to ask him to come out and I explained what was going on, he asked me some questions- I listened and answered his questions and did what he told me to do- he fixed it over the phone!!!! Bernhard and team did a great job installing a new system for the second floor of my 100 year old home. It was a complicated job requiring ducts and returns to be installed in an unoccupied attic. The system works great and is very quiet. Much better than the window units we had to put in and out every season. Bernhard is very responsive and prompt and has great expertise. The price was the best of all the quotes received.

I had worked with several HVAC contractors in the past few years, and finally I found Bernard that is both honest and very knowledgeable. Our furnace broke down during the weekend. We had a service call from company A in the morning. The recommendation was to replace induce motor (~700 usd), or the whole unit. I called Azrikam to get another quote for comparison. When Bernard came, he fixed the unit in 5 minutes. It turns out there is no need for replacing the induce motor, he can fix it with simple tools. What a difference! It not only saved me money, but also spared my family a few cold nights! I really appreciate Bernard's honesty and expertise!

Ever the professional, he walked through possible causes, and diagnosed low refrigerant and bad air flow in my condenser and evaporator.
