 + -1 moreThey price was good. The product is of good quality. The staff didn't seem to care much whether you were there or not. It was hard to get the staff to help me with my purchase.

 + -1 moreThe staff at the Northbrook Apple store are low key, and friendly, made me feel welcome and are readily available and competent to demonstrate anything without sales pressure. They are knowledgeable about their product line, yet ready to tell you what the product CAN'T do, as well as what it can, and happy to leave you completely alone to browse and meander around if you only ask. I have very limited personal exposure and experience with computers and the challenge of expanding my usage just about scares me into immobility, yet by the time I made my purchase decision I was sure that I could use the gadget I bought and knew how to plug it into my computer and where to call for answers to questions. I got the 80 gig I-Pod, a case to cushion & protect it when it drops to the floor; a tiny FM radio receiver; and a beautiful Belkin stereo microphone, plus a tech support program and the usual great guarantees. They even have one-on-one training sessions right in the store!
Description of Work: I drove to the Northbrook Apple store to find out whether an I-Pod could possibly meet my particular needs. I play guitar and was curious if the I-Pod could only play back pre-recorded music, as is mentioned in the all of the advertising, or whether I could make stereo recordings of live music as well. I spoke with 2 employees at the store, and wound up not only getting clear answers for my questions, but also information about other options that I did not even suspect were available when I started my search. They demonstrated how the thing works, and then they taught me how to install and charge up the I-Pod and how to use it as a portable high quality recording device. When they told me the gadget will also work as a sensitive FM radio receiver, I was convinced!
