Chuck Allen, CRI, National Property Inspections came to perform his inspection while I was packing our house to move. He described "clutter" in our living room on his official report that was moving boxes. He claimed that we were missing appropriate supports for both our front and back porches. The additional Structural Engineer that had to be sent out by Cartus easily found that we did indeed have supports for both front and back porches. He wrote on his official report that we had defects with our roof, we had to have an additional roofing inspector/contractor come out....the roofer called me from our roof (while I was in our new state house searching) to say that he could not find anything wrong with the roof. Chuck Allen mistook a gas pipe for a water pipe. To cap it off, he broke a light switch in our basement and didn't report it to me before leaving our house. He was rude while he was at my house, curt, and, in my opinion, he is not ethical. Avoid this man if you can. If you are being relocated by Cartus and you are in the Chicago/Aurora area I would encourage you to refuse to use this business and find someone else.
Description of Work: Chuck Allen, CRI, National Property Inspections was hired by Cartus (the relocation company assigned to us) who was having our house inspected in order to create a buy-out price for our house as a back-up (in case either of the 2 offers we had on our house didn't go through). We had two offers the first and second day our house was on the market, the first Buyers raised their offer and ended up buying our house.
