Chris was always punctual and responsive. He always answered his phone, and he always showed up when he said he would. I was doing this from long distance, and when it came time to pick the stain color, he very patiently put down samples, took pictures, and met with my broker for final approval. He had great suggestions, and knew his product very well.the floor was beautiful, and he finished on time, coming back later to put the furniture back in place. He was easy to communicate with, and we never met!

It was good. He charged me extra because there was some repair needed which was not part of the deal. There were 2 holes in the flooring and he charged me 50$ each. When he came he looked at the floor and said 99$. But then, he kind was a kind of hesitant because of the promotion going on and he was not making too much money on it. So he said there is a lot of work to do for 99$. Then he saw the two holes that should be fixed and he over quoted me the price to fix them up, so that would make up for the 99$. He wasn't a bad guy. But he wasn't very happy that I hired him for just one room. I was ok with the job, but I was little aback by this.

I'm torn about giving this provider a "B".  They did an amazing job on our floor, were very professional, and extremely organized and hard working while providing the service. However, I'm not giving them an "A" because of some confusion we had about the shape our floor was in which could have been avoided with a quick preview of the floor by the provider.
When I called to set up my appointment I was asked what shape the floor was in.  I said I was unsure because there was carpet currently covering it.  The gentleman said then it should be fine if there was carpet on it.  When the carpet was pulled up, some old linoleum was revealed.  So when they showed up to do the work they said they weren't prepared for that, as well as a couple of small repairs needed to the wood and would have to reschedule.  This was obviously not ok with me after having already waited weeks to have the work done and a house full of people about to show up that weekend.
They ended up completing the work that day and as noted previously, did an amazing job for only $100 more than the deal.  They were very professional, cared for my home while doing the work, and were surprisingly quick.  I will definitely use them again...after having an pre-inspection done :).

I had wanted to get the hardwood floor refinished in that room since I purchased my vintage condo a year ago.  The finish had been worn off in spots long before I bought the place; it was rough, porous and difficult to clean. The previous owners kept a rug over it, for good reason.
Chris came out and looked at it and gave an estimate. I would move all the furniture out and his workmen would move a large desk out and through the doorway, since I was unable to do that by myself. The stacked washer and dryer, situated in a closet, would not be moved, since it would be nearly impossible to do so.
They arrived on time the day planned for the work. I left and they got to work for the agreed sanding, stain and 2 coats of finish.
I returned and saw that the work had been completed with a flat finish, which, while it doesn't match the rest of the condo floors, is fine for this room.
The only issue I had was that there were a couple of small rough spots that looked like they didn't get as much coating by one of the walls. I touched them up myself with a small can of poly I bought at the hardware store, and it isn't really noticeable.
I'm also wondering if I should have gotten 3 coats of polyurethane, but it wasn't discussed. We'll see what it looks like in a couple of years. It's mainly a storage/utility room, but  doesn't get much traffic, other than me doing laundry or going out to the deck once in a while.
Overall, Chris and the workmen were professional, courteous and on time. The floor looks and feels so much better.

It went very well. Son had solid oak floor  damage as a result of flooding. Floors Works of ilinois was the only company that came for estimate that spoke with authority and knew what was need to get the job done at hand  and. the pricing was reasonable. It was a 1 1/ 2 day project.. Replaced flooring matchs exisitng flooring wonderfully. Will be using for my home in the near future to refinish  2 stories of hard wood flooring, stairs and baseboards.

Everything was done on-time and according to our estimate; there were no surprises. We had moved everything we could off of the floor and out of the kitchen. The men sealed off the kitchen from the dining room, then machine-sanded the main area. There was much hand-sanding and scraping around the edges. After a comprehensive "dusting" a coat of a quick-drying finish was applied. This was left to dry while the men went for lunch. Afterwards a second coat was applied. When we regained access to the kitchen we found an absolute minimum of residual dust on surfaces, and nothing at all that we could notice inside any of the cabinets.
The kitchen floor measures approximately 9 feet by 14 feet.

Chris and Adrian were excellent! This was kind of a last minute decision for me to redo this room so to get Chris out here for one room was a nice surprise. They showed up exactly at the promised time. He had clean tarps to run the whole length of my hallway. They got right to work and they were meticulous. I could not be happier with the way the floors turned out. I thought we would have to put a stain down because of how dark some of spots were but i didn't need to. I would use Chris and Adrian again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend FloorWorks.

Floor is stunning. He clear coated 3X after staining. Last application for satin sheen. Project was completed on time and on budget.
Price was reasonable and included furniture removal and replacement. Elected not to disclose pricing above but was reasonable.
