Bairds Auto Care

It went great. Service was fast and friendly and the car is running great. I would highly recommend Bairds Auto Care.

Was knowledgeable, made recommendations, but did not push work if I didn't want it. Explained services that were needed so I could understand it.

Great Place, Very Honest.  My son goes to ISU and was having car problems.  I had driven the car also and the driver side front brake was grinding when I wasn't pushing the brake pedal.  Seemed like the caliper was stuck.  He took it to Tuffy Auto and was quoted $760 for one new caliper, one pad and one rotor.   I thought this was ridiculous and called my guy here in Naperville and he said should be about $450.



After looking at the reviews I called Baird.  Talked with Darrell on the phone, very nice guy,  and without telling him the whole story asked for a quote on the work mentioned above.  He said $485 and that would include a new pad on both sides since they are sold in pairs in addition to the caliper and rotor.  My son had the car there by noon and it was done by 4.  Price as promised $485.  If you have a son or daughter going to ISU and they need auto work done I would highly recommend this place

Fixed everything perfectly.  Wish they were in the Chicago area.  My son has used then for 5 years

They did a good job.

My daughter and I were passing through town on the way to Minnesota when our car's water pump went out. We really were in a crunch for time because we had to beat a winter storm. Despite having a busy schedule, the people at Bairds fit us in that day and worked on the car all day (in between their other jobs) and finished up with the car by closing time. The final price was exactly what they had quoted us, and everyone there was very pleasant to work with.

Bairds Auto Care recommended as honest and they would only do work that is necessary and not try and push anything on you and so far so good, they have adhered to that.

I called Baird's to have my Chevy Impala towed to a service center to have an ignition bypass installed (the security system failed and I wanted to permanently fix the problem with a bypass). I called and talked to a dispatcher who had the tow guy call me back. I mentioned the issue as I provided the information on where to pick up the car and he gave me some suggestions on and quot;tricksand quot; that could work to get my car running again that he'd seen work for other GM cars and would save me the cost of the tow. Unfortunately, they didn't work, but he did pick up my car a little while later and delivered it to the service shop for me.
I appreciated that he was willing to forgo the business to give me advice that could have gotten me a free workaround. I'm sure next time I need a tow, I'll call there first.

This was my second trip to Bairds, and I'll be going back again!

Brought my car into Baird's to get the brakes looked at before leaving on vacation. They took very good care of my car and only handled what I asked for. They ended up replacing the rear brakes and rotors because heavy wear and squeakiness. Everything seems great. Thank you very much!

We were able to bring the car in the same day we called and it was repaired quickly. My husband and father are knowedgeable about cars and had guessed what was wrong and about what it would cost beforehand. Thankfully, there were no surprises and the repair cost about what we expected it to. Overall I was pleased and would use this repair shop again.

Beautifully! I called and took my car in on the same day and it was finished the same day. I was called before any work was done with an estimate and explanation of what was necessary, and what may be an option. I was especially pleased with the fact that it was done the same day! Last place I took a car for a break job, they had the car for a week! They claimed it was because they were looking for used parts to keep costs down. It still cost over $100 more than Bairds. (Ah hem .... Fred Groves)

I told them to fix everything they quoted and was glad I did. I felt no pressure to do the additional work and it was nice to have everything working again. All work was done within 24 hours of the initial phone call.

it went well and the immediate problem was remedied. was informed what to look for that may indicate further service may be needed in the future. that was very helpful, considering finances were tight and some places like to have as many repairs included just to inflate the total project. will definately use this service center again.

They gave us an estimate and then repaired it in less time than they estimated and for less money.

My daughter attends college in Normal, and called to say she had broken down. I called Baird's and the tow truck came quickly and made sure my daughter was safe. Bairds quoted the repair and had her car done the same day. A mom always worries, but Bairds did a good job and eased my mind at the same time. AND, they gave her a college discount, even though they knew I was paying. Great place!

On a trip from Peoria to Bloomington my car overheated. Not wanting to risk damage to the engine, I stopped immediately about 5 miles out of Bloomington. I called Bairds for a tow and service. The tow truck showed up within 20 Min.. The driver dropped me off in town a convenient place for me to get a ride. (He offered to take me home but I had already arranged a ride). Approximately 90 minutes later Bairds called to explain the problem and give me an estimate for the repairs. My car was repaired and ready to be picked up at the same day. My wife and I have been taking our vehicles to Bairds for over 20 years now. Their service has always been prompt, professional, and competitively priced.
