- The length of time to "completing" the jobs.
- Using the shower stall to cut the glass tile and then leaving the glass dust and pieces of the glass tile in the shower stall without clearing them up.
- Although these two were corrected, but the fact, I had to ask him to come back to correct.
- Excessive grout on the tile.
- Leaving a large stain looking spot in the ceiling after it was painted
- Supposedly correcting a leaking (the water continues to run after turned off for about a minute) faucet on the tub. After asking about this, he removed the charge for installing a new gasket.
- Although the tiles line up with the two walls, on one of the walls, they angle down in order to line up.
- Due to "miscommunication", not all of the door handles were installed on the closet doors.
- Some of the handles installed are not straight.
- Leaving the door bumpers for me to install due to the paint being wet and not wanting to come back.
- The doors being uneven leaving different size gaps from top to bottom between two doors and/or the door and wall.
- Of the four doors installed, one does not sit properly and will "roll" and not stay in the "closed" position against the wall.
- I did not realize the doors would be damaged when installing the handles so I had put the paint in my storage locket and so I was left with painting the scratches and marks left on the closet doors.
- When the old folding doors were removed, there were holes in the wood flooring that were filled but the putty does not match the current wood flooring well.
- I can not say this was Jeff's problem, but before proceeding, I wish I would have been consulted about:
- The 2-3 inch gap that is left between the by-pass. I had the doors installed to create some privacy in this room, but with this large of a gap, it is pretty easy to look right into the room through the large gap left between the by-pass on the doors.
- All of the heavy duty hardware used. I do not know what they are rated, but I would guess all of the brackets used would support 200# or more when the doors are hallow 36" doors.
Jeff is detail oriented and highly professional. He is a problem solver. He communicates well and answers questions thoroughly. He also arrives at the predetermined time, provides detailed estimates on time, and cleans up the work area when finished. I know that he does carpentry, plumbing, and metal work, and no doubt he has many other skills as well.
Jeff has integrity and a level of professionalism that is hard to find today. He takes great pride in all his work, no matter how small or big a job. He is extremely organized and trustworthy, which made it super easy for me. I literally could just disappear and come back to a finished job more beautiful than even expected. He excels in all areas, but I must mention his unique skill at meticulous painting. I still look at my walls and woodwork and smile at how beautiful they look. A perfectionist himself, you can be sure that you will get what you want. Jeff's prices are reasonable for the outstanding finish product you will receive. For all services...I would use only Jeff...no matter how long I'd have to wait on his schedule. It's worth the wait. Only downside----you and your house won't want to let me go when he's done! :)
The new doorframe and door look better than than it did before the burglary happened. The quality of service and professionalism was out of this world. He cleaned up everything once the project was complete and I have absolutely no complaints. I'm so thankful he was able to do this project on such short notice and I would highly recommend him to anyone and will absolutely use him again for any work I would need around my house.
