The installation went as planned and promised. They even worked on snowy days when I was surprised that they would get on the roof. The workers were very professional and knowledgeable.
Though they were not the least expensive vendor for the installation, I felt the most comfortable with them because of the length of time they have been in business and the fact that all the workers, from sales to installation and inspection, were employees and not contractors.

okay...they are very responsive and checked out our whole system which they had installed. No problems with system and he verified that the rods that were in the two heaters (our regular hot water heater and the solar tank) were compatible b/c this is one thing that could have caused the problem that we were having. But able to determine that this was not the cause, but did slow down significantly following this visit, otherwise would have probably replaced our hot water tank, which is over 15 years old.

Solar Service guided us through the entire process, including obtaining state and federal rebates/ credits. The communication skills of this organization are superb. Any inquiries are immediately responded to. The entire staff of Solar Service, from office staff to installers, are extremely competent and polite. I can easily give FOUR STARS to this group!

I would not recommend this service. I would not use them. I would not deal with Brandon. He has his opinion, but he does not treat his customers kindly. He is a bad representative of the solar industry. I got no help from the village of Oak Park on this issue.

It went beautifully. They used the available space in our basement, did the work on time, did excellent technical work, explained the system. They came back when the HVAC guy screwed up the system and quicky dealt with the problem - and did not charge us. I highly recommend them.

Slow start but excellent result. Top quality workmanship, good design and problem solving. I recommend them highly.

They were great and it involved quite a bit of work. It's a two man operation and Brandon was really knowledgeable. He knew everything about what he does, as he's a real guru and very polite as well.

They upgraded the system on their own without me even knowing that I needed one. Whenever they come out they always give me options and preferences and inform me on what might be best. Their after care is pretty excellent. This company has kept his workers for years and years and I believe that shows he is also a good employer.

Overall it went very well. The installation was done well and very clean compared to one other site I visited to see their solar hot water system. System seems to be working well, though it's a little more complicated than I originally thought. I did have complications getting a permit, which I had to take the project into my own hands to get this completed. The permit process delayed the project 8 weeks, which could have been avoided if I just would have gotten the county what they asked for in the first place. I can't rate their pricing as honestly I didnt' compare them with anyone. I went by the Angie's list, and the fact the several other companies wouldn't even call you back. My recommendation on a job like this is to make sure your homesite is suitable for solar. Solar Service will give you an honest opinion. I've seen a couple solar sites so far and due to the exposure their systems will be hampered due to the sun exposure or they changed the system as they didn't want to see their panels so clearly, which I think is just odd.

The cost of everything was covered my the warranty. They were very responsive when they were there working. They showed up on time to do the work for me.

This is the best company I've ever worked with. They always show up on time. They are extremely professional. They exceeded my expectations in a company. They were very responsive. They went above and beyond any other company I've dealt with to make sure we were 100% satisfied with the service they gave us.

I saw their truck in the neighborhood and knew I wanted to go greener, so I checked Angie's List and found them well recommended. I phoned, Joe came right out and told me exactly what I could do given my house and roof. When they went up to install, they found that the roof needed repair first and they told me exactly what to ask the roofers about. Then they installed the inside and outside plumbing. Once I'd had the roof repaired, they installed the panels. They guys were knowledgeable and friendly, there was minimal intrusion on my home-based business and I was delighted. So far, so good. We'll see how much I save in gas expenses. And the bonus is that the government is willing to provide rebates for moving to solar heat, so the cost is really half what I reported above.

Contacted company. Mr. Gordon was extremely professional and kind. He and his staff worked very hard in accommodating me. Installation was done quickly and efficiently. The company was also very patient with the reimbursement process and guided me appropriately. Excellent follow up. Wonderful job and I would highly recommend this company.

A good friend of mine had a solar heat and hot water system installed by this company. I was at her home while this was done and I was really impressed. The installers were very considerate and thorough. I bombarded them with questions about how the system works and they were very patient and answered all of my questions. They even cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. The solar system has really decreased my friend's gas bills and it helps the environment, too. The government pays for part of the system, which reduces the cost a lot.
