Both of them are IT graduates and are very intelligent people. They have a business profile that I think is unique in what they do in terms of helping support local farmers. They deliver for retail and residential and are providing an alternative to expensive grocery stores for organic foods. I think their prices are comparable and reasonable. They don't charge for delivery and you just pay for the produce or the product.

The people at Fresh Picks are wonderful. I was referred by a friend and I didn't sign up for 6 months after she told me because I thought it sounded too expensive. However, I've now been getting weekly deliveries for almost a year and I LOVE it. I spend about $35 a week on the produce and it's a good amount for my husband and I (but we like to eat a ton of produce, they're pretty generous boxes). You can't specify what you want in the general box (unless you order additional stuff that you pay extra for) but you can fill out a form on their website saying things you don't want because you're allergic, don't like them, get sick of them, whatever. If you do that and that item is on the list for the week, they'll replace it with something different. I actually love not picking what I get because it has totally changed the way I cook. We are eating healthier, fresher, and more natural meals and despite the regular weekly cost, I've noticed that I'm actually spending considerably less on groceries. I'm excited to work with the produce (and I don't want it to spoil because I've already paid for it!) so I make more of a point to plan my meals around it (thank you internet), not to mention I don't need to go to the store as much or buy as much when I'm there. Also, when I used to go to the store for produce I would always buy the same boring, safe items and get sick of our consistently used recipes. Now I'm pushed outside of that habit and I play around with things I've never heard of or seen before. It's not uncommon that I have to google image search just to know which thing is what in the box, and it's usually delicious. I figure I'll give everything a couple of tries before I put it on my do not send list. Occasionally, something will show up that is pretty bruised or bad on the inside or something. I always email when this happens to let them know, and I get a prompt response saying they'll either replace it the following week or credit my account. Also, if I mess up my order online, they're great over the phone. Excellent customer service, they obviously care about and enjoy what they do. The delivery guys are really pleasant and friendly too. Bottom line - elevates produce intake, general health, and cooking, and decreases grocery bill!

The produce is SO fresh and SO delicious! Dependable, reliable, consistent service. We're hooked on the best tasting produce to be found!

We are delighted with this service. It is immensely convenient, offers a good variety of produce and other items, and does so at a price that is comparable to other sources of locally grown produce, such as farmer's markets and CSAs.

I really enjoy the variety and quality of the veggies. I don't need to be home to get the delivery. I signed up for the fresh picks box for 2 to come automatically each week. Sometimes, I add more especially when I need mushrooms and herbs. I particularly like knowing the name of the farm that is supplying my veggies. It is a very personal service.
